    'Toan' is becoming the Anthony Slama of the everyday players in ROC. No matter the numbers he puts up, he's got no shot at playing in the majors with this organization. Now hitting .296/.445/.407 thru 30 AAA games. Walked 28 times vs 22 Ks with 10/12 SB. Also scored 22 runs. The switch hitter has got a .373/.526/.492 line in 59ABs vs RHP. Luckily, MN doesnt need a good leadoff hitter right now or more speed in the lineup.

    That inning IS/WAS Gardy's fault. He pleads defense in the infield but cares less about defense in the corner OF & has for his entire 11 yrs. They have a very poorly constructed lineup

    Nothing wrong with winning, but making drastic changes or playing retreads that dont do anything for the future is just spinning your wheels IMO. I would rather lose 90 games but be better prepared for next year....but thats just me.

    CMON, you cannot possibly NOT bat him leadoff. He fits every physical description of a leadoff hitter in the Baseball Managing For Idiots pamplet. Cant think someone from the MN Twins organization can think outside the box, can ya??

    what does getting to .500 do tho.....you're not winning the division or gonna contend with the 90 win wildcards. I dont mind moving Plouffe to 2B next spring when Sano takes over 3B but oops......I guess Eddie Rosario gonna have that spot. Trev's spot with this team is gonna be a super utility guy who can hit HRs

    Just hate their Twitter polls. Dick says they dont give advanced stats as fans dont know what they are, but I guess all the 40+ yr old people are too busy 'tweeting' to understand. Bert showed last nite how clueless he is on advanced pitching stats as he listed his top 5 pitchers in the game today & just listed the guys with the 5 most wins.

    Probably throw a shutout tonight, but Scot Diamond does nothing for me. Complete 4th/5th type starter who's currently the worst of the 5 4th/5th type starters we have.

    Its his wrist, but everyone thinks he'll go back to his MVP form but he is now at best a Lyle Overbay type 1B. He is a very below average hitting first baseman right now. Justins .739 OPS ranks 21st in MLB for team first basemen. Its great that he has 37RBI but his .359 RISP is 6th best. He only hit .196 w/RISP last yr

    My opinion is that the organization isnt too fond of Trevor & especially after goin on DL before playin a game after his concussion & they are gonna make him do a full week in AAA. I also think they arent sure of who to send down & will take the weekend to analyze.

    Anyone else surprised that Denard Spans comments from last weekend on Gardy went 'under the radar'? What do you think he meant?? Span was asked for difference between ex mgr Gardy & Davy Johnson & Denard said "He lets us just play the game, I'll be honest. It's definitely different than what I'm used to, not micromanaging, just lets you do whatever. As long as you're ready to play at seven o'clock, that's all he cares about."

    Right now they need the talent on the field rather than prospects in the minors. Yes, he is a great trade chip but they cant afford the PR fallout of trading their best pitcher who is a hometown player untill they finally spend money on the field

    WAR is often used as the stat for sabermetrics.....it doesnt have to be the one used on TV to show advanced metrics. Agree with Seth that BAve/OBP/SLgg is where it starts. This is the easiest for fans to digest & compare to others. Never understood why those numbers arent shown also against LHP/RHP. With all the pitching changes, everyone knows its for matchups but FSN never shows the breakdowns. Something that pertains to the situation is a start. Easy one also is SB allowed by P & C separately or when together. Simple. Untill you get Bert to stop using errors as the end all for defensive numbers or wins for a starting pitcher, FSN is not gonna use them as they scare their own ex-players. Gotta be forced upon em by a higher up at the network but we know that FSN/Twins just want yes men on the air.

    Next day or so Not gonna be a 13th P (another arguement) but could be Fien??? Arcia.....not after the big game/why play him if they would Hermann....possible, but gardy is terrified of 2 Cs Parmelee.....who Im thinking as he's not getting ABs w/Doumit playing Dozier/Escobar....most probable to me Right after that is gonna be Ramirez....whom for him Hicks in 2 wks (Ryan says).....go to AAA to get a 7th yr from him (he'll be in another organization when that 7th yr happens tho).

    When he should & when he will are 2 different questions. Think it'll be interesting how he does in AA as many teams have been calling up their stars @ 20/21yrs old straight from AA but not as a Sept recall

    assume Beresford is cause someone is coming up to MN w/Pressley goin on DL or will they wait till Plouffe's rehab is done. ROC is at 25 before James so maybe a release??
