  1. There just isnt anything that Span does well. He's decent at alot of things. Not a starter anymore on a .500+ team (why he can start here). Get rid of him while he's still decent at certain things before those start to fail him. Revere is only as good as his BAve. Hit .260 not worth starting.... hit .300 decent starter....hit .325 a starter. Classic 4th OF who's GM is not a fan of him but his manager thinks is an everyday player cause he's stuck in 70s/80s era baseball (bat leadoff is you steal bases etc) Hicks shows star potential....something neither guy showed in minors. Dont fight Aaron being the CF of future as Gardy will
  2. I actually believe we should put the resources into pitching also.....but MN has failed to address the middle infield for the entire Gardy regime, cept the one ODawg/Hardy year. They have chosen weak hitting fringe MLB players to man the middle infield spots. Would love for them to address this eventually, but that will be after Gardy is out of office.
  3. Many different prospect listings & always thought MLBs was a little (lot) off. Baseball America is my favorite & IMO, most accurate.. This listing is proof of that to myself
  4. biggest gripe on Dozier was his age coming into the season. Florimon is 6 months older than Dozier and when MN sent him thru waivers this spring to clear him off the 40 man.....not a single other team was interested. THAT is the player I want goin into the future.
  5. This 100% If they want to hold onto Revere as a 4th OF type, then deal only Span but Gardy isnt the type to handle this correctly. Go with the talent & that is Hicks ASAP. IF they want to start the year with Hicks in AAA, CF can start out with Mastro out there for the first month or 2 till this cheap organizaiton calls him up
  6. Think Andrus will be dealt to ARIZ for Justin Upton, but if not I go after him hard!!! His play alone will improve the pitching. Center the deal around Hicks/Arcia as MN has shown what they think of those 2 this Sept and they have the OF depth. If not, Im all for taking a flyer on Stephen Drew & hope his ankle is healed. If they go with a combo of Dozier, Florimon, Escobar etc.....another 90 loss season is ahead of them.
  7. As bad as Cleveland is and as bad as their front office is......they are still better than the Twins. Can you imagine how he would ruffle feathers here!!!! Sign him!!!
  8. No playin time available for hicks/arcia but plenty for matt carson.....go figure Worst current organization in mlb
  9. Why doesnt Gardy adhere to the Sept rules of fielding their best lineup vs contenders for the first. 5 months
  10. 100% correct, nothing else. They are the cheapest organization in baseball that operates with a 90-100m payroll. We will eventually hear that payroll is being cut as attendance is down (because the play is so bad). Not a single excuse the team makes about playing time, earning the promotion have anything to do with it....purely about paying these extra guys in Sept. Cant wait till we resign Carl Pavano to be the staff ace. Its gonna happen
  11. Just think of how everyone is saying they havent lost Guerra yet......if he makes the team next spring, Its ONLY cause he's out of options. There has been nothing the last 2 yrs he couldve done to get a look....but now he's gonna be 'on scholarship?'......He's done without a look. Im predicting they will keep Guerra, Manship, Vazquez, Walters, Carson, Deduno on the 40 man (all out of options) and after the 'new season' starts (after Rule V).....when real teams 40 man rosters are set, they will DFA these guys so they get sent to AAA instead of becoming 6yr FA's
  12. This is the organization that last fall when they had #2 waiver claims on anyone snapped up Esmeril Vazquez, Matt Maloney, Jeff Gray & Pedro Florimon before other teams could swoop in & grab these obvious talents. When one by one they realized THEY didnt want them on the 40 man, not a single team wanted them either. These are the type of evaluations that are being done in this front office. Add in Nick Blackburn, who every one knows is gonna be given at least 2 separate shots next year due to his contract & you see where this team is headed next summer.
  13. Sano got his 100th RBI, Hicks became the first Rock Cat with 100RBI, Arcia finshed with 96RBI.....some stong finishes
  14. been in shock about the callups....they ARE EXCITED about Escobar (Gardy's quote!!!). There is no doubt they have now become the worst organization in baseball.....just a laughinstock even among his most fierce backers. Think of it, they wont promote prospects....but Carson, Perdomo, Walters are brought up....can release all 3 & nobody would notice. They have lost Deolis Guerra now without giving him one hitter to judge him on....at least Slama got 7 whole innings. PLEASE someone Rule V him!!!! I hope they lose 95gms again next year so they can break some type of record. Get ready for resignings of Carl Pavano, Joe Blanton, Jeremey Guthrie as the big offseason
  15. Gotta be nice to see a 400+ Slgg in 4 of 5 months in heavy pitchers lg. New Brit still leans to a pitchers lg but its much more even. Arcia/Romero/Hicks/Pinto(lesser extent due to gms) have improved power numbers leaving Ft Myers Interesting to see how their power numbers are next yr in AA
  16. Now that the season is done Daniel finished w/121gms 507ABs .286/.329/.410/ 70runs 21doubles 9triples 8HR 60rbi 77k 29bb 17/28sb's 18E's .949 FPct in 85gms at SS....8E's .947FPct in 32gms @ SS 4 of 5 months had a BAve of over .288 and sluggin over .411 (June for both) & had 22 of his walks in 2nd half (67gms) also .351/.385/.505 w/RISP.......330/.366/.472 with runners on .271/.321/.425 vs lefties (181ABs) .294/.333/.402 vs righties (326ABs) Good numbers all around & should easily be in New Brit next year Michael finished 117gms 431ABs .246/.339/.311 58runs 14doubles 4triples 2HR 38rbi 82k 56bb 6/6sb's After June 1st...... 71gms 260AB .273/.368/.335 39runs 12doubles 2triples 0Hr 24rbi 44k 32bb 5/5sb's 9E's .962FPct in 53gms @ SS......7E's .975FPct in 64gms @ 2B .323/.416/.414 w/RISP (99ABs)...293/.368/.356 with runners on (188ABs) .315/.405/.392 vs lefties (143ABs).....212/.306/.271 vs righties (288ABs) last 3 months probably good enough for a New Brit promotion (April decent also)....but a lil disappointing for a #1 pick
  17. This is one of the weirdest things that has been propagated about him and I do not know where it started... FACT 1: All power hitters strike out more than non-power hitters (ask Willie) FACT 2: Sano's BB:K ratio is better than Jim Thome's at the same age Enough Jim Thome at age 19 played in rookie ball and A+ Combined had an OPS 1.074 , struck out 44 times had a batting average of .340 and only 27 errors. while playing third. Sano OPS .894 SO 142 BA .235, and 42 errors. When you cal something weird, use a better example than comparing Sano to Thome at the same age. Fact, there are big holes in Sano's game that need to be fixed. Thome played in 55gms at 18 & 67gms at age 19. There were 26 errors @ 3B (83gms) those 2 yrs (14e's in 40gms at SS) with 77k 72bb in 505ABs
  18. think the last time it happenned was 5 yrs ago in CHI when Mike Redmond got hurt in-game with Mauer DHing. This one incident in July 07 is the reason that Drew Butera has a job this year.
  19. At least, Vasquez looks like he can be the 12th pitcher for MN next yr in the Jeff Gray mopup role but instead have pretty good stuff
  20. Any Sept ABs that go to Carson/Mastro instead of Hicks/Arcia is an example of why this organization is in the shape it is. Mastro has done great & will be the 4th OF next yr.....Carson is nothing more than AAA depth. If they are gonna waste an all important option on Arcia by not calling him up, shame on them. Same with Hicks, as he wont use an option. The team does not have to play them in Sept over the top 3 OFs but they would get very valuable experience of seeing how to act as a major leaguer & what to expect when they do make it.
  21. 6 run 4th for NBrit....Hicks scored his 99th run & Collabello drove in his 98th. New Brit history, not player ever has scored/drivin in 100
  22. Blackburn staked to a 6-0 first inning lead & is gone after 2.2IP with the score tied at 6
  23. there some intriguing pitchers that wont make any top list yet......Zach/Tyler Jones in BEL are 2 hardthrowing strikeout pitchers who can make some noise next yr
  24. Luke Hughes is/was Mr March.......dont have anyone in the actual important months
  25. Ive got my top 25 list and the bad thing is how hard it is to make an arguement for many/any starting pitchers in the 2nd 10 also over hitters. Goin on your list, Benson/Walker/Polanco/Hermann/Roberts/Pinto/Santana etc will be 2nd 10......BJ Hermsen is the only one that is definate for me in the mid teens and we all have argued about his velocity limitations. Guys like Madison Boer & Matt Summers didnt separate themselves in A ball, Top 10 2012 prospect Adrian Salcedo battles arm problems all yr, we know about Alex Wimmers and even ELIZ aces Hudson Boyd/Angel Mata didnt dominate either depsite ok numbers.
