    Despite a strong September (offensively), Pinto still has a lot to prove, the dropoff in value from Mauer to him at catcher may have more effect than whoever else the Twins have to man 1st and playing Joe more at catcher. Platoon Parmelee and Colobello at 1st until June and then throw Plouffe over there in place of Colobello if Sano is ready for 3rd. I'd rather see that lineup come June than Mauer playing steady 1st this early. This is provided the starting pitching is decent enough not to require 13 pitchers however. ha ha ha ha ha ha............like the Twins are going to platoon anyone.......ha ha ha ha!!

    I think given the likely short time frame this might happen, the new infield instruction, base running coach gets spared. Unless of course they play the infield and run the bases like they have the last two years.

    Twins new manager 2015?....2014? I agree the Twins need more Latino coaches but does that have to mean you pass on a guy like Molitor? Seems kind of silly to me, he brings instant credibility for the players. I can see the them adding a Latino coach next off-season, there is likely to be some vacancies, perhaps even one this off-season in the lower levels.

    Yup, I'm a born and bred Winnipegger, nice to see another 'Toban aboard. I spent a week in Swan River one afternoon (Harry Chapin credit). You're right, there is a fair number of Twins fans in Manitoba, it's surprising how much Twins merch you see being worn here, I sometimes think we out number Jays fans in these parts, some of my friends aside. My Grandfather was a huge Killebrew fan and my love for the team was born from that, I've never taken to the Jays, I've only been to a couple of games in TO but have seen the Twins countless times in all 3 stadiums, they are a much more natural team to root for due to the proximity and realistic opportunity to attend games. My second team was the Expos, I always had a soft spot for them and was a big Steve Rogers fan, it was sad when they left.

    Thanks for bringing this up, it's one of my favourite Twins memories of all time. As almost all of my friends are Jays fans, it allowed for some of the best gloating I've ever had.

    Please, please, for the love of all that is holy do not even consider Swarzak or Duensing as starters next year. Free Agent A (not Tanaka, c'mon folks do I really need to be the dreamcrusher here?) Free Agent B (Pelfrey, sorry, this isn't a wish list however) Correia (hopefully only until the deadline and then maybe Meyer, doubtful though) Gibson Worley/Diamond/Hernandez/Deduno (Unless they sign a FA lefty I doubt they go with 5 RH's, so Diamond or Hernandez, even Albers takes one of those spots, deserved or not).

    Bud "I'm really, really serious about drug use....really" Selig, in his attempt to make A-Rod his defining moment, actually has opened the door to somehow making Rodriguez the sympathetic character in this saga , now that is ineptitude at it's highest level. I for one do not sympathize with him but he's not alone on the marquee as the biggest jacka** of this generation, he shares it with Bud.

    I'd call being dismissive and borderline condescending towards thoughtful, legitimate questions of your organization arrogant, it's as if TR is somehow above reproach. We all deserve more than flippant answers from the man most responsible for expecting us to keep supporting this mess. The "I'm committed to righting this ship" rhetoric is getting a bit old, especially after 291 losses the past 3 years, details TR, some details please?
