  1. Psst.....we're winning Halsey. Plouffe is ok.
  2. That's not what I'd call it but it'll work.
  3. Kind of getting lame after every loss. You need a new shtick, you're getting perilously close to jumping the shark. Wouldn't want to see that.
  4. Way to go Chi, GOTG for you my friend.
  5. This bullpen is not in tune with the peacefulness of my surroundings.
  6. So was I. Not many Carp around here though.
  7. If the mood strikes, either that or test my hypothermia limits with a swim.
  8. Welcome to the 21st century.
  9. Sitting under the awning of my RV by a lake in Northwestern Ontario , sun's out, beer cooling in my fridge and enough reception to get MLB at bat. Life is good. Btw if anyone is lucky enough to get their hands on some Muskoka Breweries Twice as Mad Tom IPA, I highly recommend it. At the moment it might just be the best IPA I've ever had.
  10. Oh, so this is a "new" concept. Don't know how I missed that.
  11. I prefer the "Stick a fork in him" format. We'll see how this pans out.
  12. Speaking of running jokes...... Are no excuses.
  13. I went to look for the Stick a Fork in Meyer thread but it's not up yet. Dave must be busy, I'll wait.
  14. Ok, how about hue and cry? Is that closer?
  15. Operative word being "most". You're right though, off days tend to be particularly grinding.
  16. It's always a judgment call and peoples judgment always differs. There is no perfect scenario and that's just the way it goes sometimes, we'll do our best to do what we feel is an appropriate measure at any given time. The linked article is a good suggestion, especially if it's just rehashing a press release. I'll say I'm a little shocked at the outrage over something that happens very infrequently around here, and when it does it's usually a pretty obvious call. This one was a bit tricky but ultimately something had to be done about the same topic being discussed in 3 or 4 different threads.
  17. Big Pelf is the most surprising positive for me and without a doubt E. Santana is the biggest negative. This team could be a pair up or more on the Royals with him in the lineup.
