Korea is a couple good starts away from being sub 4 ERA. Pretty surprising. Pinto is a reason to watch. Arcia. Mauer - any at-bat is worth watching (who doesn't like watching future HOF'ers?) Watch Perkins get a couple more saves. Can Burton right the ship? will Sano get called up? Clete Thomas! Darin Mastrionni! Chris Colabello! Doug Bernier! Do we need more reasons? Maybe I'll just go watch the Yankees or Mets on the weekends....
Who else thinks Dozier deserves to win the gold glove at 2b? I realize that the award is about politics in baseball and that the most deserving players don't always win it, but the dude has been on point all year with the glove. He makes so many plays that I don't see other 2b making. Can we start a petition?
Mauer is a HOF'er. It is not his fault that he makes the money he does. RBI is such an arbitrary stat. Like the posters stated above; he needs to have men on to bat them in. Mauer is the best Twin we have seen in the last 10 years. Give the man some credit.
Jacque Jones used to flip his bat after every dinger. I specifically remember my dad and I doing it when he hit a couple game winners. I love the attitude.
Complete BS. The Twins suck and this is why. Anyone with any emotion gets benched? That was a big home run by a big dude. This "Minnesota Nice" **** is unbelievable. Bench possibly the second best player in the organization for doing what he does best? If I was Sano, I'd ask for a trade. Let the pitcher handle it next time he comes to the plate. Garbage.
There seems to be a good amount of potential 25+ MLB HR threats in the organization. Sano, Arcia, Walker, Harrison, and Pinto. Hopefully at least two or three of them make it.
Adam Dunn has hit 430 HR in the majors. If Sano hits 300 HR, I think everyone would be ecstatic considering that only Harmon has hit more than 293. I would take Adam Dunn. Batting average is only one stat. The dude can hit bombs and that is what he will be in the lineup to do.
@Red Bull - I feel the same way. I don't care about the cut payroll, but when you have one of the highest amounts of money to spend on the international market, you go with the 10th best prospect? Disappointed. Sign a top guy.
On a losing team? Yes. With the boys on the rise? I don't know... Who is the closer in 2014-2015? Is there a closer in the minors? Tonkin? I don't know. Perk hits 95 on the regular. It'd be hard to trade him, and what for?
And then he goes and throws like is tonight... through 5 he only threw 56 pitches or something like that. All the dude needs to do is throw the ball over the plate.
Yeah he hasn't been in the lineup since the 8th or 9th... I've been listening to the Rock Cats game while at work and they didn't mention him when they did their injury report... hmmm
