    They could never go to a 3 man crew with Dick as the play by play guy. Dick leaves very little room for substantial color commentary. He has this OCD bit where he needs to narrate every little thing that happens. Someone needs to tell him that he's not on the radio (we can SEE what's happening) and he doesn't need to jump in on every one of Bert's (rare) halfway interesting stories in order to interject a bases empty "strike two to Cabrera" call. If he ever actually neglected to call a bases empty flyout ("Swisher camps underneath it, two away") while Bert and TK ramble on about how "Bruno was underrated with the glove," he'd probably develop a heinous facial tick.

    The thought of Sano in the derby next year makes my pants conspicuously tight. Obviously he'd have to have an incredible first half (or quarter) for his name to even be in consideration, but I can totally imagine him coming out of the gates hot and throwing up 20 quick HRs before AL pitchers figure him out. It's Monday night; I'm watching 20yo Bryce Harper hit some dingers and I'm dreaming big. "SANOOOO, backbackback...all the way to FARGO!!!1"

    Cool that you got to sit down with him. Even though I'm a Gardy apologist, I wouldn't especially mind seeing him fired if it means that Molitor is the one who steps in and takes over. Speed is under- and overrated, simultaneously. You see some guys get drafted based off of it almost exclusively. To see Buxton's hit tool this advanced this early, and for Molitor (among others) to rave about his speed so highly, it's enough to make any member of the Twins Territory salivate. It's downright dangerous; to both the AL Central and baseball at large. I was high on Buxton to begin with, and even I wasn't expecting this much production/hype.

    What do you guys think, is it too late to convert Hicks back into a pitcher? Bobby Cuellar could learn him the changeup and Anne Sullivan the cutter. Give it six months and they'll have the kid inducing so many weak popups it'll give us all feverish flashback nightmares of the Nick Punto era.

    Span and Revere are exactly what we were told they would be. Span may be even slightly better. Hicks was a raw, toolsy, mid first round pick. He's shown flashes and is still developing (and young.) A reasonable arc for him. Benson was a goddamn second round pick, and still has a good chance to develop into a major leaguer. Or were you expecting Bryce Harper? I look forward to years worth of posts lamenting on how Buxton isn't Ken Griffey Jr. yet. I mean, can the Twins do anything right?

    What's wrong with taking a potential all star SS or OF? Those are quite scarce as well.
