  1. It's quite possible. It certainly wouldn't surprise me. Personally... I'm just amazed at the patience that the Twins Front Office has shown with him. I don't know if I would have been that patient.
  2. OK... Good luck with that! Honestly... I found your post amusing. I thank you for that. I like amusing posts. But... You completely misunderstand the reason for the moderation and seemed to want to serve as an example. So just to make sure everyone else understands. You may find posting under "Bojangles" difficult for the next few days. The admins and mods will now discuss on a private thread weather your ban will be increased longer or even permanent!
  3. If Dozier continues to perform and Rosario continues to progress... It would be one of those good problems to have. At that point the new manager (Paul Molitor) will look at the SS position and if Xander Bogearts acquired in the Perkins trade isn't playing SS. Molly just might move Dozier back to SS. Until then... I'd say that Dozier and Rosario have to continue to progress... And I'm pulling for them. I'd love to be stacked up at 2B.
  4. No... But here is what you said! Oxtung's reply was respectful... Your first sentence in your reply back wasn't. Oxtung... Also did not say that you said Sano wasn't capable of playing 3B. Pay attention to the increased moderation on this board and why moderation is increasing and try to not get banned!!! Your first sentence was chippy.
  5. I just don't have the inclination to damn Kevin Correia. I am satisfied with his performance and I'm not waiting for him to fail. When he actually fails... I'll be more inclined.
  6. Sad to see these guys go down... Happy to see Colabello come up.... Herrmann 2... Bernier... I gotta get to know him. Hope he's in the lineup Friday.
  7. I can't tell if your serious or not... If not... Good one... If you are serious... Check out the box score below. 13 Players used. The only Phillies option was replacing Ben with a pitcher and if you watch the replay... He got down the line decently. Phillies players and management would not be questioning the fairness of it. http://scores.espn.go.com/mlb/boxscore?gameId=330713222&teams=chicago-white-sox-vs-philadelphia-phillies
  8. Minnesota: Brian Dozier 2B Joe Mauer C Justin Morneau 1B Ryan Doumit RF Trevor Plouffe DH Aaron Hicks CF Clete Thomas LF Jamey Carroll 3B Pedro Florimon SS (Kyle Gibson P) New York: Ichiro Suzuki CF Zoilo Almonte LF Robinson Cano 2B Travis Hafner DH Vernon Wells RF Lyle Overbay 1B Eduardo Nunez SS Luis Cruz 3B Chris Stewart C (CC Sabathia P) Things to think about for today's game: 1. Think about a win yesterday. If we win one today... That's two in a row... If we win one on Thursday... That's called a winning streak!!! 2. Think about the all star break that starts tomorrow. Mauer and Perkins have something to do. Everyone else... can take some time off and work on a model airplane. 3. Think about Kyle Gibson... We just look forward to his starts. Looking for any sign that he will pitch in 2014 and pitch well in 2014. 4. Think about 56 Strikeouts in the past 4 games. That seems a bit high for a team total... But its about average for Adam Dunn alone. 5. Think about... Hawaii... Why does Hawaii have "Interstate" Highways? I'm out of town this weekend... If someone could be so kind and post the lineup when it rolls in. It'd be much appreciated.
  9. Revere broke his foot. He knew the bench had been used. He waived the trainers off. Finished the at bat. Grounded into a game ending double play. He ran hard down the line on this broken foot. Revere is tough!!! He can play for my team... Any day!!!
  10. Obviously... If an offer comes that blows you away. Do it!!! However... I don't think that offer is coming and I am more than happy to keep him. His stuff is legit. He has made tremendous strides with his control issues. I don't fear regression at all. I see a solid pitcher for the 2014 rotation and I'm not sure why others don't see it. Sometimes players stop doing the things that made them struggle. When a guy with stuff does it. You get a gift!!! I'm gonna enjoy it.
  11. String... I got another question for you. In the Military... A General outranks a Major... So... Why is a Major illness worse than a General Illness?
  12. 7 K's in 4 innings. You can see the teamwork can't you. Arcia out of the lineup and the rest of the team is picking it up for him.
  13. OK... Leadoff double... And Justin hits a shallow ball. Justin is a vet!!!
  14. I asked Uncle Ted... Why there isn't any Ted Nugent, Jimmy Page, Eric Clapton, Eddie Van Halen type Guitar superstars today? He gave a 10 minute answer that could be summed up as "It's Obama's Fault"
  15. The All Star Break... Needs to happen... Right now... By Right Now... I mean Saturday July 13... 12:33 Central Time.
  16. Hughes Strikes out the side. This is getting really strange.
  17. Yeah he is... But... the Guy walks into a room and treats you like you are a human being. The rest... is just Ted being Ted.
  18. PLOUFFE That's a $1,000 fine. We need to curb the over swinging.
  19. I met Ted Nugent... He's a good guy... I don't agree with him... But he's a good guy.
  20. Secretary: Dave Dombroski Line One TR: Hey Dave Dave: I'm interested in Perkins TR: I'm getting a lot of calls on him... My guys say that Smyly and How do you say his name... Castanellos or something like that. That's where the conversation starts. Dave: That's pretty steep... Why don't you mull over Harold Castro and I'll get back to you. Secretary: Kevin Towers Line 2 TR: Hey Kevin Towers: I'm interested in Glen Perkins... Skaggs and Bradley are not available. We won't trade them. TR: OK... Thanks for calling. Secretary: Ned Colletti Line 3 TR: Hey Ned Ned: I'm interested in Glen Perkins TR: The Tigers and D-Backs just called about him. Zach Lee and Dee Gordon are some names we can talk about. Ned: That's pretty steep... We go back a long ways... Do me a favor... If you are going to make a deal with the D-Backs... Call me back and give me a chance to beat it TR: I gotta say Ned... The D-Backs are coming after him hard. I was talking about some good ball players with Kevin. Line 4 is blinking... It's O' Dowd. I gotta run. Secretary: Ron Gardenhire Line 4 TR: Hey Ron Ron: Terry what's the name of that restaurant downtown with the Corned Beef and amazing Pastrami sandwiches. TR: Katz Ron: Not the Broadway Show... I'm looking for a restaurant!
  21. Twins: SP Sam Deduno 2B Dozier DH Mauer 1B Morneau C Doumit 3B Plouffe RF Parmelee CF Hicks LF Thomas SS Florimon Yankees: SP Phil Hughes CF Gardner RF Suzuki 2B Cano DH Wells 1B Overbay LF Almonte SS Cruz 3B Gonzalez C Romine Things to think about for todays game: 1. Let's think about Arcia on the bench. He needs to sit after 11 K's in the past 3 games and failing to break a bat over his knee in frustration. 2. Let's think about this Yankees lineup. If the Yankees lineup was ours. We'd complain about it. 3. Let's think about Sam Deduno... OK... Just a quick thought about Sam... Now move on to #4 4. Let's think about Phil Hughes... The Yankees are trying to trade him. We can help them get less for him. 5. Let's think about the well fed children of the world... The Starving Children are the ones always talked about and rightly so... But for one day out of 365... Let's think about the well fed children so they know they matter. July 13th is as good a day as any.
  22. No need for Rochester. 11 K's in 3 games... That means that he's gonna struggle in Rochester as well and that ain't gonna be good for his head. Just let him know... It's OK... This stuff happens all the time... Now let's go get that swing back. Show him film... Arcia before... Arcia now.. Get on the Tee and find it again. Just keep him out of lineup until we return from the break.

    Puig

I agree 100 percent that Puig is a breath of fresh air. The pro game is stale becuase of this baseball code nonsense. Just think back for a second... Remember the Hrbek Grand Slam against the Cardinals in the 87 World Series. Remember him running around the bases with his arms up in the air. Remember how good it felt for you to watch it happen and you could feel how good it felt for Hrbek with those arms outstretched. Is this something that is only allowed during the playoffs or World Series??? Why don't we see that in game 83 of a 162 game season. It's a good question if you think about it. The baseball code is a bunch of crap and it kills the game. Players talk about drilling a guy because he watched his home run or showed them up by celebrating. If you don't want to be showed up... Grow up and get him out. Puig is a breath of fresh air. I hope the vets don't try to change him.
  24. I'd sit Arcia tomorrow and Sunday. No sense killing him by having him try to work through things in front of fans. He's off... Mentally... Physically Off. You don't want to cement it. Tell him... "Get some sleep and we will see you bright and early tomorrow for work off the tee"! Spend the weekend and all star break getting his mechanics back. Dozier, Doumit, And Hicks are the only three at least making decent contact. Start them!!! Go with Vets for the other 6 spots. Mauer, Morneau, Carroll, Plouffe I guess... Jeez... I'm out of vets... Thomas... And we will need a SS... Florimon it is. 1. Hicks CF 2. Dozier 2B 3. Mauer C 4. Morneau 1B 5. Plouffe DH 6. Doumit RF 7. Thomas LF 8. Carroll 3B 9. Florimon SS Shake it up... And tell the vets that you expect leadership by example at the plate and you expect it right now! Also seriously inform them that trying to bust out of this slump by hitting a 5 run homer isn't going to work and fines will be levied for anyone who actually hits a home run until they win two games. I know that last part sounds goofy... But do it. They have struck out 45 times in 3 games.
