    I built a birdhouse when I was younger. I couldn't get the Twins game on it so I ended up disappointed. The Birdhouse was about as ugly as it gets. The Hole was lopsided and the sides didn't mesh together at perfect angles and the paint job was streaky. My shop teacher gave me a generous D on the project because he knew I tried. Turns out that the Birds didn't care. They moved right in.

    Buxton has had two straight games of good AB's. He looks like a guy with a plan up there all of sudden. I think he has been working on something and I hope it is starting to work. KEEP IT UP

    From time to time... Grossman will play OF this year for us and I think we will survive. If Vargas performs and Grossman continues to do what he has been doing. It's a good problem to have and Grossman will have to play some OF... and I think we will survive. Only a manager with the imagination of a watermelon would be stymied by having only 1 DH spot and 2 DH type guys performing well.

    Exactly This is an overpay for catching. Trading a guy with 20-20 potential for a guy that seems unlikely to reach 10-0. It is also starting to look like the Twins scouting staff may have liked Murphy based on a single good game against us. It's not fair of me to make that assumption so I qualify it with "It is starting to look like". It doesn't matter to me if Hicks crashes and burns and is out of baseball in a year. I still won't like the trade because of the potential that Hicks possessed. The Twins played Hicks while he struggled and absorbed all that struggling and then as soon as he started to show something. They moved him. I didn't like that trade then... I don't like it now and I will never like it unless Murphy shows he can produce better than the average catcher does because there are average catchers all over the place. In my opinion... The Twins could have kept Hicks and signed Salty or something and been better off. I also think the discussion is still relevant because the staff that meets in the room and advised Terry Ryan is still sitting in the room advising Falvey and Levine.

    For Brisket... Texas is the spot. However... When I consider all the styles I've tried. I tend to head toward Carolina and that Vinegar based taste.

    If I was a mean person... I would suggest Bernie because he has been propped up like Bernie from a weekend at Bernies. I'm not a mean person... So I'll type... Go Get Em... Danny Santana. I'm pulling for you!!!

    The unwritten rules suck... end of sentence. Don't care about McCann... Boyd... Jones... or any of the Tigers. I'm just glad that some blood pressure got raised with someone in Twins uniform. I'm not a big fan of even keel... it's a long season type stuff. I'm 100% in support of emotion for all 162 games. I just wish the Twins wouldn't have followed Saturday up with lackluster play on Sunday.

    I have been equal parts concerned and patient when it comes to Buxton. My concern will not change until I see him stopping trying to pull outside breaking pitches for 6 run blasts. My patience has been recharged after last night's game. He had some great AB's where he simply didn't chase and got on base via the walk. It was his best game so far in 2017. Keep it up Byron. By the way... it was very classy of Dozier to deflect the focus of his 3 run double to Buxton keeping the inning alive with a hard fought walk. Dozier was right... If Byron doesn't have a good AB in that two out situation... Dozier doesn't get a chance to drive all those runs in. I hope Molitor has Buxton back in the lineup tonight so he can build on his good game and I hope Byron does it again. Don't care about Power from him right now... I want him focusing on making contact and not making outs. He can do the power thing later.

    I was never worried about Polanco defensively. I saw him make throws and make some nice plays last year... I felt he could figure it out. Besides If he struggled at SS... They'd move him. It was his bat that had to continue and his bat that made me nervous because he couldn't survive without it. Good to see him put the bat on the ball. I'm a fan!!!

    Thanks... I'm still standing. There hasn't been a rush to join but that's OK... there will be a rush eventually. It's prime ground floor real estate.

    You don't know me very well. I'm not really the ripping sort. I'll make fun of you but I typically don't rip. Bert may have been joking or maybe he was suspended. We won't know unless someone says why. It may not have been anything nasty like talking bad about Joe Mauer. Maybe it was something real innocent like... I don't know... maybe Bert Killed one of the Sales Guys or something. It doesn't have to be anything bad
