Bad Moods are the main thing that we guard against. If any topic starts getting overly divisive that is when we usually direct it elsewhere.

Don't get me wrong... umping is hard. I also believe that if you asked those guys... they want the right call and may not be against automation if it means getting the call right. They can still stand back there... Watch the pitches... Watch for Balks... Make Calls at the plate. QB the crew. Just let the technology take the pressure off of them and lets get correct calls.

The technology is here. There is no reason to not automate the strike zone. Cuzzi has been consistent but consistently wrong.

Kintzler: I see absolutely no reason that he shouldn't be traded. Even if you don't get a decent offer. You'd still take the best offer and if you want him back next year... Sign him to a FA Contract. Santana: Levine has been talking like he is on the table. I would still be somewhat surprised if he was dealt because... I'm looking at the extended look of Granite and the unnecessary time being spent by Buxton in AAA so they can give Granite an extended look and using that twisted logic. I think Buxton will be called up when room is made for him via trade. I assume Rosario. I don't believe Buxton or Kepler are on any table or close to any table and I don't think Grossman will bring enough to make a trade worth it. Middle Infielder: Maybe... We have an extra SS or two and others coming from behind. I wouldn't be shocked. Perhaps Rosario and someone could be packaged for a decent starter.

IMO... Being against an Automated Strike Zone because you like the human element... also means that you like the random missed calls. And that is similar to telling the ground crew to leave the big rocks in the infield for the crazy bounces.

We have tried to protect the sanctity of game threads by keeping them upbeat and fun. There are some who don't follow that basic core rule "Have Fun... No Bad Moods" or understand the reason behind it... and unless they are watching the numbers... how could they understand. However... one thing has been proven to be true over many years of game threads. The more fun... the wider variety of topics... the bigger the numbers. When the game thread gets overly negative and the sense of humor or fun goes away... the numbers go down. As moderators... we need to do a better job of enforcing the basic rule... "Have Fun... No Bad Moods". and I take full responsibility for not doing a better job at this.

I've been to St. Cloud a couple of times. It's like one big blob of retail. I drove around the entire town and all I saw were businesses. Where do the people live? Where are the residential zones. I saw no houses anywhere.

I wonder if the outfield depth is why Buxton is doing some rehab. To give a little more time to make a trade or decision.
