  8. It's like those French have a different word for everything!!!
  9. Double Plays... The pitchers best friend are a consequnce of putting the ball in play... Part of the game... I'm sure someone will prove me statistically wrong... But... you can factor in OBP and factor in Contract rate and I'm guessing(i'm too lazy to look it up) that it will get you closer to explaining GIDP for the year and yet still not explain it. Baseball is crazy that way. They happen... This is why you gotta cash in... When the cash is in scoring position. Cuz... Next Inning you could be a double play waiting to happen.
  10. Yankee Stadium Pre-Game Batting Practice outside the Cage. Twins GM Terry Ryan enters the field walking toward the Cage. Ron Gardenhire Twins Manager is in the Dugout. Ron: (shouting) Terry!!! Ry-Guy!!! Terry Ryan Keeps on Walking to the cage. Danny Velencia is taking his 2nd turn in the BP Rotation. Gardenhire jumps onto the field and sprints toward Terry. Terry: Danny another pitch is coming... Stay focused Danny... It's a mental game. Danny Turns to look at Terry... The Ball strikes him in the Shoulder. Ron: Ry-Guy... We gotta Talk... Terry: I know what you are going to say. You want a third catcher Ron: Must you always assume what I'm going to say before I say it. I've been doing this awhile Terry... You could treat me with a little respect. Terry: I'm sorry Ron... I jumped the gun there. I just came out to watch some BP. The Last session... Velencia didn't swing at a single pitch... He seemed to be studying his shoes or laces or something. Thought I'd come down and see what he's distracted with. Velencia looks down at his shoes again... Ball hits him in the head. Terry: Danny... Take a look at Stelly on the mound behind the L screen... He's throwing the ball to you... so you can hit... For practice. Ron: Stelly... Throw Strikes... I can't have my bullpen coach smoking my players in BP. Terry: Gardy... Danny isn't even watching the pitch. He's looking at his shoes. Ron: Never mind Danny... This is how he preps... Can You and I talk... Terry: Sure Ron... What is it. Ron: I need a 3rd Catcher...
  11. Je me demande combien traduits. Peut-être deux ou trois.
  12. First off... I loved your post... It's great to hear from someone with a degree on the subject. Family Medicine is the greatest thing for worried moms... For Dads... We'd appreciate a wet bar in the waiting room. Since I'm thinking about it... Don't put the Television up so high in the corner. I'm only 5-9 and tippy toes at my age and weight is not a good thing to watch something else beside Oprah. 2ndly... I just had to marvel at your first line. I believe it is possible to say I'm a Doctor. Without anyone assuming arrogence. lol...
  13. There is no way I will pass this by without giving it a shot!!! (Justin Morneau is the Carnival Barker of Canadian Power) (Jamey Carroll is the Orangle Julius of 38 Year old Shortstops) (Josh Willingham is the Beagle of Journeyman Power Hitters) (Joe Mauer is the Steve Buscemi of Baseball) OK... I tried and failed.
  14. Crickey!!! I did not see this coming. Didn't expect Hughes being thrown on the barbie. Good luck to Hughes.
  15. mon pied est plus large que la plupart des
  16. I agree that Doctors are not idiots... Getting through Med School tends to weed most of the idiots out. I also want to be very clear that I have no idea if the Twins medical staff is solid or not. I don't even know if my own Dr... The one that checks my prostate with what feels like both of her fists and one fist of the nurse(they stand awfully close together). I don't know if she is a solid doctor or not. With that said. The field of Medicine would be just like Baseball and Garbage Collection. Some are better then others at their jobs and there are bad Doctors. I ran into one on vacation in Florida. I developed a bad rash on my ankle. He looked at it... Circled it with a sharpie and said I don't know, He recommends the ER right away... I go to the ER... Wait for 5 hours of my vacation time... They say I have a rash. It was really easy for them to find because I had this huge red blotch of skin and it was circled by a sharpie. I return home from vacation and there is a bill from the first doctor waiting for me. $100 for 30 seconds to circle it with a sharpie, say he doesn't know and ship me to the ER when the diagnosis was rash. True story... So yeah there are bad ones... I don't know what side of the scale the Twins staff fits in. No way of knowing and hard to assume anything. But I do believe I will be able to make fun of them with the recent track record.
  17. I gotta see this kid play. He had like 20 in under 300 at bats last year right? He's like 19 right?
  18. lol... Thanks for clearing that up. I thought that TR was administering the exam and interpreting the results and reporting to the public. Im stumped now because I thought I just solved the Twins Medical problems right there. Back to the drawing board.
  19. According to Terry Ryan? Shouldn't it be according to someone with a medical degree. He's smart and all but interpreting MRI results should be handled by someone trained to do so. Like the Brewers Medical Staff.
  20. I wouldn't recommend the Cassock unless you have a chance with the San Diego Padres. I'd recommend a traditional habit and a white cornette. You'll look like Sally Field but closer to Agnes. Now you'll have to do something with Agnes... It can get tricky if you report to camp as Agnes and she reports as Agnes. That could cause problems. Not with the Twins but you know who upstairs. It says in The book of Numbers 26:7 "These were the clans of rueben; those numbered were 43,370" I don't have to tell you what that means. Be very careful.
  21. Baseball needs an I'm sucking real bad list... Like the DL... If a player reaches predetermined level of lack of production over a predetermined period of time. On to the SRBL they go and a player is called up.
  22. I think I remember that now. He tossed his bat. Other than that it pretty surprising to see him get tossed.
  23. Never seen that from Span. He was pissed... Gardy was pissed over the balk so I knew he was gone once span was gone. I thought it was a balk.
  24. Bad strike call... Front door curve that didn't make front door. Span started jawing an kept going til he got tossed.
  25. Has Span ever been tossed before?
