    Well played. Was going to go with a Restaurant at the End of the Universe ref earlier. Dozier's been great on the base paths this season, even better than last year. BsR backs that up. His instincts have gotten so good that it's hard for me to find fault with his tendency to be a little aggressive at times, especially with instances like that one where the Twins have the lead and there are two out. Not a big deal. That said, not doing it again would be good.

    Good post, and it reminded me not to take it for granted that BPA in the MLB draft is not a universally accepted concept. And that I still don't understand why. Makes for some good debates, though...

Sounds like a sharp kid, and BP with a dad who pitched well for over 20 years in MLB (despite standing five feet, nine inches) probably dials up your skills at the plate in a hurry. Looks like a great pick.

Got no problem with the first part, as long as it doesn't get in the way of the second. My guess their priority is that the second part not get in the way of the first.

    Well, it worked for the droids in those three movies Lucas made after the Star Wars trilogy, so I'm game http://img2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20130828155934/starwars/images/d/dc/Destroyer_droid_sequence.png Tonight's game had more than its fair share of 'uh oh' and 'oh, crap!' moments with regard to possible injury than is fair for a week night. And the two hottest (in baseball terms) players, Dozier and Willi involved.

    Willingham aeronautical in the postgame; play at the plate was barrel roll, not loop (aka somersault). Also meant to mention that Arcia's RBI off the lefty was as impressive as the homer. Great adjustment to a pitch that fooled him before.
