  1. Yeah, it wasn't "Practice their love" bad, it was just... awkward. Rainy day text from friend at the lake... "How can a big win be this hard to watch?" Suggested filtering out anything not having to do with 'Dozier' or 'Santana'
  2. And no 'best athletes on the field' from Bert as a bonus...
  3. 100 pitches for Gibby. Hoping there's going to be activity in the pen soon, so 7-0 doesn't turn to 7-4, and his great game turns to 'ok'. Edit: ERA below 4, peripherals trending better, good day for him. Hope it's done. So does Kelly. 'Leave on a high note'. Yes, please. He's earned it.
  4. That's been one of the more impressive and surprising things about the 2014 Twins. Even when they don't score a bunch, they seem to be seeing a whole lot of pitches, 175+, in more than their fair share of games.
  5. His all-around game is looking great, but I'm especially relieved to see that he continues to improve on one of the harder things about the transition from short, which is the positioning and timing to protect himself from the attempted DP breakup on his throws to first. Stay healthy, Brian!
  6. Personally, my priority would have been the breath and the wrecking-ball tail wag, but yeah, maybe it was a self-image thing. Then again, the attempted Frisbee consumption makes me wonder...
  7. 'Processed' or not, recovery/reassembly never crossed my mind. Just how much I could sell him for before the acquaintance-not-friend owners returned home.
  8. Great game, encouraging signing, but: http://heartanddesire.typepad.com/.a/6a00d834200ed453ef0112790b6e4128a4-800wi On the other hand, if they keep averaging more than a run per inning, Correia could win 15. Ok, 10. 7?
  9. Stop. You're going to make me feel guilty for enjoying my Hot Pocket for lunch. http://www.iheartkroger.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/HPOrigCheeseburger6.12.08.jpg Just kidding. Couldn't handle them even before Gaffigan went off on them:
  10. Many moons ago, dog-sat for a lab that stole my $700 dental appliance off the dresser. All I found was the mangled remains of the case.
  11. Three more for the 10 run rule. The Astro didn't make their -40 run differential omelette without laying some eggs.
  12. Five runs on two hits before that last rbi... Real Astros in the house today. TK goes with 'not professional'.
  13. You're thinking of Pinto exploding issue... http://www.productioncars.com/send_file.php/ford_pinto_orange_1978.jpg
  14. Or a rainout. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/7/70/Eeyore.gif Yeah, MLB is a bit like grownup Christmas season. It just requires more patience than kid Christmas, and more tolerance for coal in the stocking. Kohl>coal in Correia's agent's stocking joke pending.
  15. Watching the second half of tonight's game was like being a helpless onlooker neighbor in that insurance commercial where the guy drives his vehicle into the garage with bikes on the roof rack.
  16. You know it's on Gardy when he's furious about any strategy questions in the postgame. "Come on, Phil. Were you watching the game?" Early cut back to what's his Fox... 'Some losses are really tough to take'
  17. Courageous to fess up. At least now the most ardent Gardy faithful will have a reason to let him off the hook. Salvation is just a late tune-in walkoff HR away vs Stro's tomorrow. Please don't be late!
  18. J/k. But yes, the Astros were the aft bookend in Pseudo's excellent "Sink or Swim" thread for a good reason.
  19. .jpg of your doctor school diploma did not post, so edit or, with all due respect, maybe delete. Oh, wait... Now I get it.
  20. Ideally in that scenario, Arcia's micro-job is to Larry Walker the low, shallow fly balls of slow runners to first. I'm in. Two or three web gems per week, if not per game.
  21. It's actually ok. Dog is stunt double for Reese Witherspoon in a documentary about Harvard Law School. Credits assure that no pugs were harmed... http://thetalkingpot.files.wordpress.com/2014/01/reese_witherspoon_.jpg Apologies to Reese fans and relatives. But not to Reese, after the... ugliness in Tangiers.
  22. Pugs make them look like the Joker by comparison. With or without headgear humiliation, frown is standard equipment. Only other option is anxious panting. http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-E1X9PNwSLwQ/UmmO1ykT_WI/AAAAAAAAAiU/B9lpgynCJNA/s1600/One+Sad+Pug+In+21+Adorable+Hats+%285%29.jpg
  23. But autograph it. At some point there would be a fist bump.
  24. Good God. Dick: "I'm stunned by just about everything that just happened!" That goes on the headstone of the Twins teams going back to 2011. Only question is what year comes after the hyphen...
  25. And somewhere in Uptown, hipsters look on in horror as Nick Nelson falls to the floor, clutching his groin, victim of an invisible blow.
