  1. The "crowd" shots were appalling. There's no other word for it. You see more people in the stands in the 1 am. ESPN 6 rebroadcast of Tulsa St. at Maine Maritime Academy.
  2. Dick cheerfully pointing out that in addition to cementing a loss, the big inning ensures that FRod will be available to shut down the Twins tonight in the incredibly unlikely event that they're able to keep it close in the late innings.
  3. I've tried to avoid using this phrase before, but I don't know what else is left. The Twins have descended into self-parody. And that's without seeing the wildpitchout due to walking down to the mailbox.
  4. Partial credit for Gladden?
  5. It seems absurdly cruel to me that arguably that the most promising season for a young Twins player belongs to a kid who is blocked from his best position by the Twins player who is inarguably its most valuable.
  6. But the bobblehead tributes to Spam were awesome! http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-tOKRyzekY7Q/UyeW-uKZ1CI/AAAAAAAAAyU/7WsQyDVwS_I/s1600/Twins+SGA+2006.JPG
  7. Iglesias with an implied tip of the cap to Buxton on the grounder in the hole. It's one thing not to attempt the throw; it's another to not even turn to see how close the play could be.
  8. BuBo-nic Plague has pitched fairly well, and yet I have no faith in his ability to get outs when it really matters.
  9. 18,000 announced. That may be a tad high, provided that the Tad in question is the Theodore Roosevelt portion of Mt. Rushmore.
  10. And Bremer was right there with him, putting home run suspense into a ball that wouldn't have reached from the entrance of a Target store to the seasonal area in the back that started displaying Halloween stuff two weeks ago.
  11. You're good except for the 'park' part. That ship sailed at 6:30 this morning.
  12. Crowd!?! There's barely enough for a four-team barbershop quartet contest and a panel of three judges!
  13. Depends on your definition of 'watch'.
  14. I know rain delay programming is a very low priority, but shouldn't a franchise with a 55 year history that includes multiple pennant wins and Hall of Famers have something in the archives to show besides the career stories of the two Twins we've been seeing and hearing every game during an epic six year slide?
  15. Thunder clap right over Target, and Torii Hunter bricks his new pair of mesh Jockeys in front of the 500 remaining Twins broadcast viewers, 90% of whom fell asleep with the tv on.
  16. 39 days and counting! THIS is finally going to be the year!
  17. We'll draw straws to see who brings you in and puts you to bed...

  19. Radar shows either tons of rain or giant alien ship from Independence Day. Survey says: "Goodnight Springton. There will be no encore" http://s1.dmcdn.net/ZR3Ce/280x157-uV-.jpg
  20. It's raining like a moo foo at Casa de Bombo in western burb. Fertilizer producers on the edge of town are not happy campers right now. On the bright side, no Dozier home run or Berrios gem is in danger of going to waste.
  21. Baseball version of NFL franchise tag? Hit our franchise guy with a pitch and your franchise guy sits the rest of that game and one more...
  22. The key is to not reward yourself by lighting the cigar until the copy is in the editor's in basket.
  23. Not a farm kid but grew up in a farming town so I saw my share of the cycle of life, and from what I remember if nature's perfect fertilizer wasn't sticky and at peak olfactory offensiveness, then it was too dry and past its prime. But future mayor Goldie Wilson did a nice acting job to sell the smell. And it's another nice metaphor for the 2016 Twins... http://www.cinema52.com/2013/wp-content/uploads/2013/04/20130410-151907.jpg
  24. Thomas Wilson deserves a cowpie on the Hollywood Walk of Fame just for his Bifftastic work in the Back to the Future trilogy.
  25. ...starring Paul Molitor as Biff Tannen, trying to turn the season around to no avail. http://cdn.playbuzz.com/cdn/23f0054e-8580-4a73-8100-e1a1229c111a/0a8815b2-e641-461a-b4b4-bf9bd0c21431.gif
