    Oof. Been there several times but didn't realize just how wee the wee hours are that they serve into. My best shot at being out at 3am is waking up then to go to the bathroom and suddenly deciding I want to use a dirty, busy one with 'personal product' vending machines on the wall.

    Twins cutting into the Phillies' MLB lead in negative run differential. Twins started the night 11 back... ahead... whatever, at -172 vs. Phillies' -183. And yet Philly has won a mind-boggling 13 more games than the Twins, so in a way you have to admire our team's efficiency in generating losses. Or not.

    That was nice... 'hustle', I guess, on the almost-catch by Grossman, but it still reminds me that his biggest advantage over Delmon is that his superior athleticism allows him to get to more balls he can't catch than Delmon could.

As luck would have it, the few times I've truly risen to the occasion in my life have been ones where expectations were low.

    Yes, but it's adorable. And I agree that this Twins team has the silver lining of several guys who are in or approaching that age/experience range where players, especially hitters, often make a significant stride forward.
