  1. About the only good thing that could be said of it was that the other eight Twins on the field with Jorge didn't appear to suffer any permanent damage from rushing to his aid.
  2. Right past 'jinx' and into 'online voodoo' territory http://learningwitchcraft.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/Voodoo-Doll-2.jpg
  3. It's the ultimate compliment to both of them. Molitor's saying with his actions that his catchers' defense is so strong that it's the sole reason for their presences on the roster, as their offense is so negligible that platoon splits can safely be disregarded altogether.
  4. New Hampshire is the Granite State. Was that helpful? I'm guessing no.
  5. I was just admiring his defense, but to each his own.
  6. 4 and a third scoreless plus 5 K's from Hberger, Press, and Belle Isle, and a seven run comeback from an offense that couldn't do anything against Gausman the first two times through the order. So pretty much going according to plan.
  7. Nice to see the Twins catch up to Gausman the second/third time around the order.
  8. The 2017 MLB Prospect Guide actually projected him as a Firestarter, so I think that's where the confusion arose....
  9. It's not especially encouraging to think that his offense was supposed to be what would let him be a net asset at shortstop.
  10. Jorge managed to pitch himself to a game score of six. So I guess that's kind of like scoring a touchdown in your NFL debut, right? Gausman sitting at 53 and counting for the game, for anyone who is not a fan of game scores for pitchers and could use a little context.
  11. I was going to go with 'Descending Colon' but 'semi' is.... cleaner.
  12. With these pitchers it might be time to go with the sword.
  13. http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-8D8O58SQT2U/VX8yAZW1c3I/AAAAAAACvug/qLtdbvOcaEc/s1600/as%2Bgood%2Bas%2Bit%2Bgets%2Bdog.gif
  14. Agreed. At least we know where the strikes were. http://kzmets.files.wordpress.com/2011/09/dsc07766.jpg
  15. I think Billy Tim Denham might have gone all the way down to fifteen-five on the vans to get Roy to stop. http://vegastripping.com/images/news/oceans-eleven-gag-1.png
  16. Or two walks, two line drive doubles, and a misdemeanor assault on a hot dog vendor...
  17. "You bet I am, Mister!" http://www.freedomleaf.com/site/wp-content/uploads/2015/10/bernie-sanders-480x270.gif
  18. No worries, I'm probably not the only one who assumed that it was. Might have something to do with half a decade of mostly bad baseball. <Sigh>.
  19. Yeah, nothing to do but hope that the offense saves its next one-run effort for a good guys shutout or a bad guys blowout.
  20. Well, a series win with the lone loss being taken despite one of the best starts of the year is pretty encouraging, I guess. Also, despite the loss, did anyone else enjoy watching an entire game spent not dreading the manager motioning for a reliever?
  21. Then it doesn't count as an absolutely critical "day off" for Mauer, meaning that tomorrow we'll probably have to watch the training staff cart him off after three or four innings of standing near first base...
  22. But what if he had fun? That would make him a winner as well, no? http://jimharshawjr.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/participation-trophies.jpg
