  1. a) I'm not advocating it, just wondering out loud. b ) Would being Tigers-like be so bad? (I realize you said "lite", but I'm not sure we would be inferior to the Tigers)
  2. Just for fun, I wonder what the Twins 25 man roster would look like if they said "screw it" and made the entirety of their minor league talent available for trade in an effort to win in the next 5 years. Buxton. Sano. Berrios. Meyer. Stewart..... Everyone is available. Guys already at in the majors could be available too (Vargas, Arcia, Dozier, Santana, etc)
  3. I can't wait for 11:05 when the Twins finally make their first transaction of these winter meetings.
  4. I'm fine with standing pat in free agency, but then you can't stand pat in the other 3-4 ways to improve your organization.
  5. You know what they say, slow and steady win the top 5 pick..... Not counting losing a tie breaker and having a team not be able to sign a player from the previous draft so they get magically vaulted ahead of you.
  6. Eddie Rosario with all multi-hit games so far (four 2-hit games)
  7. In this context is "soft" a compliment? I'm leaning toward no.
  8. Jamie Hersch was a FSN Girl. She's doing pretty well moving up. Just saying.
  9. I found myself yelling at Aaron "WHAT IS YOUR FREAKING POINT" during his strange 20 minute discussion about Terry Ryan, after he housed the breakfast burrito. 2006 wasn't as good as we like to remember it was? Years later we remember the good and gloss over the bad? You know what else works like that? EVERYTHING!
  10. Delta will get you for a fortune for that Hartford to MSP direct. Lots of options from Atlanta. With all the AA call ups we are going to have next year, this is probably just a cost-cutting move
  11. Nice write up and I feel your pain, but this feels more like a "Twins leave New Britain" article than a "Twins move to Chattanooga" article. Based on the title I was hoping for some in-depth info on Chattanooga, its facilities, and the league.
  12. Worth noting on Rochester is that for their 6 remaining games, they have three two-games series' against the 3 teams above them. Good, in that, they control their own destiny. Bad, in that, they are playing all good teams.
  13. Plus, even if Price walks, they will get someone's 1st round pick as Qualifying Offer compensation. Part of me wonders if Boston is in total tank mode so that they get into the bottom 10 records and get to keep their 1st rounder when they sign, let's say..... Scherzer. They'd give up their 2nd round pick, but they got Oakland's sandwich pick in the Lester deal.
  14. Gotta be like Scherzer to Seattle in a 3-team or something like that. Detroit doesn't have the minor league bullets to get Price by themselves
  15. Hasn't this been covered? Most likely Milone is only in AAA because a) he was already in AAA for Oakland b.) the SP whom he will be replacing on the 25 man roster is scheduled to start before Milone is available to pitch (since he pitched 2 days ago). Darnell pitches on Friday and Pino pitches on Saturday. Presumably Milone isn't available until Sunday.
  16. Maybe in Rochester Buxton will not get plunked every couple days.
  17. May 14 was a BOMB - Cleared the (tall) batters eye in dead center
