  1. I came here this morning to read that the Twins had signed Donaldson, so I am still engaged and still have hope. On the other hand, I fully expect to come here and read Donaldson signed with the Braves or someone else. Can't explain it, only know I have more trust and hope than when Gardy and Ryan were in charge. I would like someone to write an article about when some of the redundancies in prospects start to fall off the team due to their time being up. Seems to me the Twins will have to trade some of these guys within a year or two or lose them anyway.
  2. Bird is the one with a future and only paid $1.2 mil. last year. This is nothing for a guy who has really never had a chance due to injury, just bad luck, not running into walls.
  3. Cave's base-running was embarrassing. For someone that needs that skill set to stay in the majors he was horrible. One more stupid dive for a fly-ball turning into a triple will again cause me to turn off the TV. Cut Cave and sign Maybin.
  4. "They could swing a trade and then decide to sign someone like Julio Teheran as an additional bullet." ESPN has him gone to the Angels for 9 million. Was he someone the Twins could, and should, have gotten for that cost?
  5. Like this kinda guy. Passionate, no ego, fits nicely. The Twins may not sign the big names, but they do have something special in "how they go about their business" as Gardy always said.
  6. Harper must be relegated to the scrap heap with Parker and the rest. I knew he was going to give up the lead; he had nothing. Every time he comes in the watcher is always amazed that he can get anyone out, let alone the best Milwaukee's got. I'm yelling at the TV, "Get him out of there", as Grandal's ball goes over the fence.
  7. May and Gibson are so frustrating. Go for it, Gibson, throw strikes and see where the baseball lands, like Smeltzer. He must wonder why his pitches don't all end up in the seats, yet he is successful. May, I don't know enough to figure out what is wrong, but a second pitch homerun to that guy is incredibly deflating after a rally getting the team close. Cleveland 3 of 4 and first place in the Central for rest of year.
