  1. Give em time, and the Twins will never cease to underwhelm me. And for anyone who's monitoring this website, it lags like a a mule with an attitude.
  2. Looks like sitting Buxton for a day was just what the doctor ordered. Let's hope he has a memory.
  3. I see Buxton went 0 for 3 today against Detroit. Results bud. Results.
  4. Killebrew finished with a 270 batting average, 49 home runs, and 111 RBIs. I'd be shocked to see Buxton put up numbers like this by year end. It's your comparison, not mine. Killer is (was) twice the player Buxton will ever be.
  5. Is Buxton hurt? How is this guy batting under .150 and getting paid $15 Million???!!! What a waste.
  6. Bully for you!. I think Mr. Killebrew's been turning over in his grave for the last 10 years. Watching this joke of a franchise stumble it's way thru bumbling player personnel moves and bad team play is probably driving him nuts. Of course he had the likes of Rod Carew, Tony Oliva, Jim Kaat, and others when he played. And the true test of a fan isn't to blindly cheer their team on when things are bad. The true test of a fan is to have the courage to say something when things aren't right. They aren't right. Got it?!
  7. To see what good folks like yourself who have lost their way are posting on this same site.
  8. Who cares?! I started playing golf before the All Star break and haven't looked back.
  9. Get rid of every single owner, manager, coach, and player. Keep the ball girls/boys. Everything else is a complete waste.
  10. I'd say Twins are not out of wild card contention. But I wouldn't put any money on them to win a berth either. Another year of could'a, should'a, would'a. NFL here we come...
  11. Hey. Maybe we can repeat what the Brewers did in 1987? Win 13 in a row, and then loose 12 in a row. Ya gotta believe !!!
  12. Nothing like watching the Twins pitching up batting practice....
  13. No surprise with any of this. MLB players start out at a younger and younger age throwing harder and harder. In middle and high school, it becomes a bragging rights competition to see who can throw closest to 100 mph on the radar gun. Testosterone kicks in. It's understandable. But it's the reason hardly any MLB pitcher throws a complete game anymore. Get used to it. It's going to get worse over time.
  14. I see your true colors shining thru. True colors. True colors. Are beautiful... like a rainbow...
  15. Just when you think maybe the Twins have turned a corner, they snap you right back to reality. This team is just like the rest of the just above .500 teams fighting for a wild card spot. Okay, but inconsistent and unpredictable. The only thing predictable is the likelihood that if Jax enters the game, the odds are good that he'll blow a lead. Same old same old with this team. Detroit is the cream of the AL Central. So, who cares about the rest of the schleps trying to stay alive.
  16. It's simple. Until the Twins solve the Jax issue, nothing else matters. He's abysmal. And yet he seems to get a free pass every time he blows a lead.
  17. Agreed that Baldelli is only part of the problem. Unfortunately, this starts with the owners and, as they say about you know what, flowing downhill... It's just a bad situation that won't get any better until the Pohlads are gone.
  18. High hopes at beginning of season. Those hopes are all but gone. I'm done with this pathetic excuse for a MLB team. As far as I'm concerned the Pohlads can have 'em and their worthless existence.
  19. Twins are just simply pathetic. Even the Twinsdaily website was down today. What's next. They trade away their top prospects for a pop machine in the clubhouse?!
  20. Important that the Twins win tonight??? How about it's important that the Twins win the next 90+ out of their next 158?!!! They could win tonight, and it would mean nothing if they can't generate some better ball play consistency for the long haul. It's time to sell the team to someone who will take action, clean house and rebuild from scratch. Period. If that means moving the Twins, so be it...
  21. Optimism abounded at the start of this season. It's only four games in, but it's obvious already that this team has major issues. Their abysmal hitting has left off from where it was in the second half of last season. And their pitching is..., well..., it's not pitching. I'd like to think that this is simply an early season bump in the road. But I know better. I guess I'll have to find something better to do with my time this summer than watch the Twins on TV. The NFL season can't come soon enough!
  22. I guess I just don't get the Twins organization. Or maybe just the business of MLB in general. In what other business or organization (other than perhaps politics?) do you hire a person, give them all the tools they need to succeed, watch them regress in their performance over a six year period of employment, and then give them a vote of confidence to return for their seventh year??!! Good for Mr. Baldelli for pulling the wool over the heads of the Twins ownership/GM. You fooled 'em bud! I will now devote the 2025 season to routing for anybody, ANYBODY else, in MLB other than the Twins. My fervent hope is that they do a nose dive into last place and we can end this charade for good. I'm sorry folks might think this is harsh. But I place my support in teams and organizations that make every effort to do the right thing to be successful. Results, bad or good, are the proof as to whether those efforts are worthwhile or not. In this case, they've obviously fallen flat. It's my opinion that a change is needed at the source. Maybe it even starts with the GM. I don't know. What I do know is that Mr B. has had 6 chances to get to the big dance (I consider the WS the big dance, not a Divisional title). He's failed 6 times. A shame we have to live thru this for one...more...year... before something gets done.
  23. Congrats to the Tigers and the Royals. They did what the Twins couldn't! I think 2025 is going to be an awful reminder of how badly this team has squandered it's talent. Move 'em to a city that cares...
