  1. Pretty neat that the new guy has already had an impact on this baseball team, and he has only played in one game.
  2. Less than 3 hours left. Good thing I have the afternoon off from work.
  3. Right. The Twins have the opportunity to improve in areas of need by trading from areas of strength.
  4. Right. The window is open. The opportunity is now. Take advantage of guys like Cruz, Kepler, Sano, Buxton, Garver, etc. all having good to great seasons. You aren't guaranteed this.
  5. With so many doubts surrounding the pitching staff in 2020? I like the optimism!
  6. They failed to improve the bullpen during the winter, and up until this point, they have failed to improve the bullpen this season. They knew it was an issue and weakness of this team, and it has shown. So for about the last 9 months, it has been quite obvious what they needed to improve. They have yet to do so, besides the Romo trade.
  7. Right. There is no guarantee that the Twins will ever have a season, up until this point, like this one again. There is a reason why they are setting all sorts of team and baseball records with their offense. You don't punt until next season when you have nearly nothing set in stone as far as your pitching goes. This front office has said that when the window opened, they would pounce. Well, the window is open. Wide open. If they fail to do so, they will have fleeced all of us.
  8. And rightfully so. I don't get how people can legitimately expect the Twins fans to be okay with this team/front office not making any improvements to this team. Romo is a start - but he cannot be the move. That is the type of move that hardly moves the needle, especially when you factor in the competition. The Indians have been playing like gang busters, just improved their offense significantly, and should be getting back a few of their better arms sooner than later. The fact that people claim that we, as fans, should "stand behind" or be okay with this team doing nothing to improvement itself is insulting and just goes to show there really is a a "Pohlad Pocket Protector" mindset.
  9. I don't get this part... "it is important for Twins fans to stand by a team that has put themselves in this position." If they opt to stand pat and not do anything to improve the obvious and glaring weaknesses of this team, why should we stand by this team and its front office? They are doing a disservice to everyone involved, including the 25 guys in that clubhouse, the coaches, and fans, if they don't make a move to improve this team. That is such a cop out of a statement, really.
  10. I had tickets to the games as well - in particular, this one was an absolute zoo. We got up there, the parking situation was a clown show, so we decided to scrap going to the game and went to a local Buffalo Wild Wings to watch the game...obviously it was disappointing.
  11. Cruz probably won't see the field unless it is a PH'ing situation.
  12. Ray. I am a big fan of Ray. I thought I saw on Twitter from Seth that Graterol threw yesterday or today...and supposedly hit 101?
  13. They will play the usual card - that they tried, made thousands of phone calls, but just could not come to any kind of agreement. How they didn't want to mortgage the future, believe in the guys in the clubhouse, they give great effort, yadda yadda. Can't wait.
  14. It is going to be really disappointing when Romo is the only guy the Twins trade for.
