  1. I've got about a month until I get my one year chip. Just keep showing up and stick with the program. There is a power greater than yourself.
  2. Joe, that is the worst four innings of shutout baseball that I have ever seen. Think about what you did! You know there are players out there that can't even throw one shutout inning, and you threw four of them like you don't even care. Do you think Jerry and Phil would be proud of you today?
  3. Great outing for Zebby ... Can someone plant an eternal 10 run lead in his head?
  4. Tell me about it ... My son starts his day with the Joe Bartolozzi dude that is fingernails on a chalkboard to me, but he loves it. I just don't get it.
  5. I'm pretty sure the best decision in Twins franchise history would involve Kirby Puckett.
  6. Good to see Taj not spin out of control after the walk, bomb and error.
  7. I think I sold Cutco knives for about 1 months, but it was probably only about 20-30 hours of actual work. Door to door sales is not efficient in rural Iowa.
  8. Dear Corey, Justin and Audra, Just stop talking about Lewis!
  9. Something about Kerry Carpenter that I can't stand. Oh yeah, 1.037 OPS against the Twins, and he's always seemed a bit smug about it.
  10. Now I could get on board with an exploration of a Bell trade after that game tying shot. Maybe we could get a Hoey.
  11. Watching Ryan Gallagher get clobbered and hoping for close to that return on the apparently desired Clemens trade.
  12. He's cost controlled for three more years and won't return more than flyers or filler right now. Even if one concedes that his ceiling is bench depth on a marginal contender, that has more value than a Sam Armstrong-type will realistically add to the '28/'29 roster. I'd echo the comment above about the Pirates, if the future is further out for you than that.
  13. Yeah, that not smart team didn't get 2+ WAR so far for about $1M + cash considerations so far. I don't think anyone is suggesting an extension. That would be attachment. If the Twins want to contend, they need players who provide roster flexibility at relatively inexpensive prices. Clemens is doing exactly that right now. He's more valuable to the Twins than what he is going to net in a return right now. Go look at the guys they got for Castro. They aren't exactly screaming solution provider in MiLB right now. Will Clemens even get them that? I'm doubtful.
  14. I just don't get this fascination with constant roster churn. It's almost seems like some people get more entertainment dreaming of prospect packages than watching the actual games. Also, Aaron Sabato is going to give the Twins Bell-level D. Kody Clemens is closer to Santana-level right now at 1B. +1 to the Keep Kody Kamp
  15. They were "hovering" under .500, but have been losing altitude the last couple weeks. With the Buxton injury and the everyone-plays-everywhere-so-we-can-accommodate-Royce strategy, I expect them to be hovering closer to .400 soon. They're already closer to .400 than .500 this morning.
