  1. Just for the hell of it... http://www.jeditemplearchives.com/galleries/2011/Review_BibFortunaTSC/Review_BibFortunaTSC_stillA.JPG No Jabba No wanna
  2. Nunb, Nunb, Nunb, Nunb! http://img.lum.dolimg.com/v1/images/screen_shot_2015-07-27_at_10_faa46973.jpeg
  3. As long as Slave 1 is not trailing us - that is good news.
  4. I'm depressed. It's the mode I am in. Sorry. :) (baseball depressed)
  5. I have never been one to bitch about Terry Ryan and what he does. Up until a month ago I was on board. What has and has not happened since that point is dumbfounding. It's an embarrassing mess and Ryan needs to have some transparency to explain this stuff away. I don't think he can. Jerry DiPoto please.
  6. there's a bluebird in my heart that wants to get out but I'm too tough for him, I say, stay in there, I'm not going to let anybody see you. there's a bluebird in my heart that wants to get out but I pour whiskey on him and inhale cigarette smoke and the whores and the bartenders and the grocery clerks never know that he's in there. there's a bluebird in my heart that wants to get out but I'm too tough for him, I say, stay down, do you want to mess me up? you want to screw up the works? you want to blow my book sales in Europe? there's a bluebird in my heart that wants to get out but I'm too clever, I only let him out at night sometimes when everybody's asleep. I say, I know that you're there, so don't be sad. then I put him back, but he's singing a little in there, I haven't quite let him die and we sleep together like that with our secret pact and it's nice enough to make a man weep but I don't weep, do you?
  7. Bitch, bitch, bitch, moan moan moan (me). I know people on this site were pissed about May going to the bullpen, being replaced by Santana, and I am part of that crowd. Some other clown should have had that ticket. They sent him to the bullpen, and didn't use him very much the first few weeks. Eventually they began to use him in high leverage situations and he was excellent. Just when he was finding his niche as the 8th inning guy, the Twins pull the rug from out under him and give him a spot start (?) and it's a mess. Once the Twins sent him to the bullpen, that is where he should have remained for the rest of the season. It is super unfair to Mays and his development. This was a good time to call on Berrios. Certainly his start could have been a disaster, but he is stretched out and good to go. Even though it appears like the season is slipping away, we still have a slight grip on it. Terry Ryan botched this decision and this same old kind of **** decision making is getting tiresome. Bitch, bitch, bitch, moan, moan, moan (me)
  8. The bullpen could use DV and Winter Man.
  9. I used this at the tail end of last season. It was called "Clobber Kluber". It's worth a shot at throwing out some kind of MoJo for the Twins.
  10. Yeesh, some bad things have happened since I put in a load a laundry. (sigh)
  11. The real question is this: Who get's to drive the train?
  12. Are you kidding? I am a tumble weed farmer along with a couple of neighbors. My living quarters is the white one in the center. Batista lives in the red unit on the left and Banjo McMurtry lives in the red one on the right. Love those guys. http://i.imgur.com/HsYxP.jpg
  13. That inning disgusted me, but at least Eddie "The Sniper" Rosario did what he does best and put it rest. This guy just keeps on impressing me.
  14. All three of those guys come with question marks. I will leave Buxton out of it, because he did not have enough time up here to really be judged properly. I believe the baseball people who think he will be a game changer are probably correct. Hicks has been really dynamic the last 1.5 - 2 months. He has been a reason for me to tune into the games lately. It could be a mirage, but the guy has the talent - I hope it is falling into place for him and is permanent. Rosario has impressed me also. He does not seem overwhelmed, it looks like he feels he belongs. He can be an exciting player also. In a perfect world, you would like to see his OBP higher, but he wouldn't be the first guy who didn't walk too much but had a good/great career. I think we get too nitpicky with certain stats sometimes and as he adjusts those numbers you hope will creep up. As for the power concern from Hicks and Rosario playing corner outfield positions. Let's face it the game has changed. It's not like it was 10 years ago or even 4-5 years ago. I certainly see double digit home runs coming from their bats. I can envision them both hitting 20 at some point, and I do not say that from an annual standpoint. From my perspective, if you have a corner outfielder who hits 25 home runs you are a very fortunate franchise. Those are the three guys who I would like to roll with at this juncture in time. I love them defensively! We know Arcia can be dynamic with the bat and Kepler is an intriguing talent and hopefully we can find a place for them to have an impact, but that would require throwing trade scenarios out there and the Twins benching certain players... things I do not care to get into right now.
  15. It might be tough at first, but you are their flesh and blood - I hope they come through for you. You have my solidarity brother!
  16. When I lived with my grandparents in the early to mid-nineties. My grandma would make Lutefisk once a year. If I remember correctly she usually made it in May. After the first time I experienced her cooking it, I asked her to give me a weeks warning before she was going to prepare this dish. I then arranged a place to stay for the weekend as she strictly cooked it on a Friday. I did this for about 5 years. That is a nasty ass smell and it sticks to you and it permeates a household for at least a week - the 1st two days are by far the worse. Anyways, I am not complaining or anything of that nature. It's a fond memory I have as she passed away at the far too young age of 79 - 3 years ago, although 79 is a pretty good run. Lutefisk aside, I sure do miss her and her cooking... she was a legend.
  17. Wow. Just watched some of the highlights. I think the Twins might have their first 40HR guy on this roster since Killebrew. Sano's shots were beautiful to say the least. More importantly, I am very happy for Hicks. He is really going good right now. We are starting to see all of that raw talent being smoothed out. Keep it up young man!
  18. If someone asked me this 6 years ago. I would have thought that person was joking around. But after he left the hitter's hell hole Safeco Field almost 6 years ago, his bat came back to life in an elite way and his defense was still an admired skillset. I think he's a shoe in for the HOF.
  19. Supposedly, tomorrow is "baseball fans day". After tonight's game, I guess that won't be too cruel tomorrow for the most part. Fist bumps, manly shoulder bump hugs, and tender embracing hugs to everyone... and a couple of kisses too if necessary.
  20. I apologize for this response. I had something funny to say at the tail end of it and I must have dozed off and accidentally hit the post button in my sleep collapse.
  21. The US of A didn't like him anymore. Failed politician and other things.
  22. Is that picture accurate? I cannot recall when Texas was convicted of a crime and sent to the USA's most horrible prison. How awful.
