  1. This Grossman kid is weirding me out… WTF?
  2. They tried it in the late 40's early 50's, they did not like it. Heck, they liked to party at that time and raise some hell. My Grandpa was an heavy machinery instructor for 4 years in the Army and they gave up the farm and moved to the Twin Cities. He then became a crane operator.
  3. Same here Platoon. I'm just not sure if that was the case or not and I agree with the whole of your response.
  4. I'll take one more shot - Terry Ryan's blood and liquid from his adrenaline gland with scotch on rocks followed with a chaser of Red Bull?
  5. Chicken Blood & Scotch on the Rocks?
  6. Grandpa was 1928 and Grandma was 1932. Their fathers would have been old enough to be WWI, but I am not sure if they served. They were full blooded German, I am not sure they were very desirable for service.
  7. Nice one, two combo North. I'm busting a gut over here!
  8. That too! It especially fits the WWII time frame.
  9. My mother's parents grew on farms in the heartland of Wisconsin. They came from huge families. I think my grandpa had 11 or 12 siblings and my grandma had 5. They all moved to the Twin Cities or Milwaukee except for 3 of them. It's a hard life.
  10. Maybe I am wrong, but I think the OP's intention was to have a fun thread and a fun conversation. Everyone knows you cannot change the past, that's obvious, and every thread does not have to be so serious.
  11. A Millennial who actually did some hard work and got his hands dirty for crap money… impressive.
  12. Well, he certainly earned/deserved it. I hope he continues this years success with the big club.
  13. I agree. We are living in the golden age of quality beer. If you cannot find a beer you like, you probably don't like beer.
  14. Prostitution is a hard business. It's not easy to turn a corner. 110th Street is a hell of a tester.
  15. That is 30 minutes after he dropped it. LaBombo's picture was taken a few years after this one.
  16. That's a picture of Tom Hanks after he took 20 hits of acid. Sadly, he never came back.
  17. I would like to see May start again. Meyer is such a cluster ****, I don't know what to think. My hope for Meyer pretty much is equal to my hope for World Peace and free Dairy Queen 24/7.
  18. It's tough to see May struggle like this. It is ugly. I think he should be sent to Rochester, but is he a reliever long term? Is he a Starter? I am afraid of what the Twins org would do to him if he is sent down - I'm not sure if it would be of any benefit. It's a damn mess and thank god I am not the janitor.
  19. I do not know much about the law, but I wanted to check if there was any pro bono attorneys on this site or an individual who is in the mess to become one who can represent a lower income client on a complicated case that involves child custodial rights and an impending Felony Assault charge with a good amount of weird stuff going on in the background. This has nothing to do with me, but PM me if you have any interest. I thought I would give it a try, and see what happens.... you never know.
  20. Like everything in life, traditions change and erode into the sea or the dirt is picked up by the wind and is dispersed in a way where it can never come back together again. Ventura is an idiot. I get it that a good amount of people get their rocks off on HBP's and baseball brawls. Those people probably like WWE as well, at least that is fake. Throwing an upper 90's fastball at someone is not fake. It's dangerous plain and simple. I'd like to think people don't make light of the concussion tragedy that is plaguing the NFL. Throwing pitches at batters can cause the same awfulness and repercussions. Ventura should be suspended like a first time PED offender. And for those who do not want to evolve with the times and accept that change is a part of our ever transforming world... go watch some re-runs of The Jerry Springer show and get your rocks off there. Violence and intentionally hurting people is obsolete, narrow minded, primitive, and more importantly... Wrong.
  21. Nunez is a weird scenario. Do you extend him, do you trade him, give him a qualifying offer. No matter what 3 you choose, somebody's gonna hate your guts. I'm immune to hate as I sniff rainbows and Lollypops and Glue.
