  1. Even if that was the case, more people would complain about the 2/10 times he didn't get a hit...
  2. If so, do we see Colabelo at first?
  3. I'm struggling to believe the Kubel or Bartlett are enough of a name to draw any extra fans to the ballpark. As much as we may not want to admit it, I think that this has more to do with personalities that the Twins / Gardy like being around as they shepherd in a new era. I may not agree with all of the choices, but keeping one marginal player over another certainly won't get me riled up. Unfortunately, I think we all believe we are in for a long season, and Pressley or Parmelee were / are not going to change that.
  4. Has there ever been a generation that didn't think the generation after them was worse in some way?
  5. Blaming your worst hitter for an offense being terrible seems a bit misguided to me.
  6. I know it is a bit premature, but I just get an ugly feeling that Kepler is our next Joe Benson. Will struggle to put together all of the tools that he clearly has. I hope I am wrong, and it could just be that it seems like we have been talking about him forever.
  7. Not really baseball related, but an interesting read non the less. http://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/mlb/twins/2013/12/25/alex-meyer-minnesota-pitching-prospect-teacher-offseason/4199115/#! Sounds like a pretty normal guy, just trying to starve off boredom and give back to the community a bit.
  8. Thatcher has been nearly lights out this year, while Duensing has struggled most of the year. He has been significantly better this year! I get that we all want to see a trade that will help us in the future, but we need to be semi-realistic. We have a lot of junk on this team, and teams in the race are not chomping at the bit for our guys.
  9. I happened to catch Niko at a game last week, seemed very stoned handed to me. I hope he can figure it put.
  10. i already have the blueprints drawn up, you in?
  11. Well, that is a given. But then what?!?!?
  12. Salary or not, we are getting very little for him. Put me in the 'lets keep him' camp.
  13. I am currently working in Philly, and they still love the Vanimal. I hope he figures it out.
  14. Well, great ga,e for the Twins. The wife is busy watching 45 year old men be "boy bands" so now what the hell am I going to do?
  15. note to the Tigers... objects in mirror are closer than they appear
  16. I will understand if they trade Perkins, but I will certainly miss him if he goes
  17. minus swinging at ball four in the first with runners on (sorry, that was the MN negativity in me)
  18. For those clamoring for a new coach such as Francona, this Indians team is flat out lazy...
  19. Another 'ugly' great catch by the Clete
  20. he looks lost at the plate right now. If we had any CF options, a stink at AAA would serve him well.
