  1. A bullpen assignment is not a rehab assignment, unless you plan on using the pitcher in foregone conclusion scenarios. Todays BP pitchers throw less, but more intense pitches. They go in for an inning and let it all go. Not the ideal way to get your arm healed and eventually stretched out.
  2. Maybe this is one of those 'get back on the horse moments" for Farmer. I hope so. I always think of Tony C and what might of been, had Jack Hamilton's pitch hadn't found its serious mark.
  3. Yeah, they were. It's just a dig. In fact their in game guys were pretty good, but the post game guys highlighted our mistakes before their own successes. Kinda bush league.
  4. Padree post game show commentators said Minnesota crowd was listless and unenthusiastic.
  5. I wonder the last time, Baldelli kept track of Detroit on the out of town scoreboard?
  6. Twins players hurry back to clubhouse to check and see what their account balances are after a poor performance. Oh, wait a minute, they get paid no matter how poorly their play.
  7. I don't think it is so much of an individual thing, as it is a team thing. The overall approach and philosophy is prevalent through-out the team, not just a few players, IMHO.
  8. Oh, you'll see him, just not tonight.
  9. I hope this is a nationally televised game. It's good to show fans all over, just how we play the game in Minnesota.
  10. My bad.the year is 2022. Thanks cHawk for trying to remember, though.
  11. I don't feel so bad now. I thought it would be some ridiculous sum, based on his ability and experience.
  12. I found an article dated January of 1922, listing Baldelli's projected salary:Rocco Baldelli is reported to earn a salary of $7 million as the manager of Minnesota Twins.
  13. Does anyone know what Baldelli's yearly salary is?
  14. Not gonna happen. wouldn't be prudent.
  15. As long as the Twins are close to sniffing around 1st place, replacing Rocco isn't even a thought, much less an option, with Falvey.
  16. Gallo got a hit!!!!!!!!!!!! He's just earned 2 days off from Rocco. Woo-hoo.
  17. If Vasquez was an experienced catcher, he doesn't make that throw.
  18. Yeah, win, lose or draw with this hitter, he's probably toast.
  19. These hitters don't seem to know the difference between exploding on their swing at the moment of contact, versus these big back swings with the uppercut follow-throughs.
  20. It's laughable (in a non-comic way) to watch these Twins hitters swing from the heels.
  21. He is what we thought he was.
  22. Day off tomorrow. what's on the agenda? Workout with extra batting practice, a day at the spa, or a movie / pizza?
  23. yeah, I want them to fail. that's why I pay for watching games, re-align my daily schedule, and spend 2.5 hours away from other productive endeavors. Win or lose, they put no money in my pocket, as I don't bet on them. But, I do love baseball and my homestate. So the frustration threshold is probably out of whack, but it is, what it is.
