  1. Keep your fingers crossed. Jax works a lot of times with men on base.
  2. would have liked to see an extra day of rest, for the rubber game tomorrow. Especially with a 7 run lead.
  3. With Rocco it could be anyone except Jeffers
  4. Like /sands through the hour glass, so are the days of our lives.
  5. I was watching 42, and it brought back a memory of a story that Bob Gibson told about Cardinal owner Auggie Busch. One spring training, Busch discovered that some of the African American players were having to stay at a different hotel. Busch told an assistant to buy the hotel, and that all players would stay at the same hotel. Despite a lot of negative press, I guess Busch had a righteous side, too.
  6. Yes. He's got a long ways to go. The season is a marathon, not a sprint. He may have displayed all the proper tools, now he has to implement them over a period of time.
  7. Walks are part of 'his game'. So you have to give them full consideration when evaluating him. When he reduces his walk total, his stats will or should shine better. No different than saying a hitter would hit .300, except he strikes out alot. I think Jax has the tools and temperament to be a very good, to outstanding relief pitcher. He's still very young and seems to be coachable. Remember when Nolan Ryan first came up? Strike outs and walks were his game. He still piled up the walks, but reduced them significantly as his career progressed.
  8. For my 2 cents worth: I don't believe you can say there is no room, when you talk about pitchers. When there is no vacancy it's usually short lived.
  9. Taylor knows if he stays healthy and plays through minor aches and injuries, he's got a job.
  10. Kepler hurst himself running ball out. Out of game.
  11. LOL. Are we that bored that deodorant jokes and food are now our main topics?
  12. It seems when Pagan gets the first hitter, his whole inning is much cleaner. when that first hitter walks, hits, or gets on by error, his approach changes and he struggles. He really needs to stay ahead. Good job, for a guy that has really struggled.
  13. I guarantee he will hit a few homers. He's really fun to watch at batting practice. He can jack them out, with the best of them.
  14. Maybe the Twins should look at adding Madison Bumgarner as a hitter.
  15. Yeah, tough pitching to a good line up, and knowing your own guys are struggling to score runs. Gives you little room for error and certainly limits any breathing room.
  16. CC hitting .365 outside the foul lines!
  17. Plesac on ESPN says CC will eventually hit and put his normal numbers up. When that happens. CC should put together some hellacious at bats.
  18. That check swing/ no strike call, probably saved Joey's AB
  19. Ok guys, let's use this opportunity.
