  1. How many more times are the cameras going to show Ryan, moping on the dugout rail?
  2. I'm not saying rocco's decision to pull ryan is right or wrong. But let's listen to his post game conference and see if he makes sense. Put your egos aside, and remember you're not managing this team. Be honest and see if your opinion changes or gets modified. But you have to be honest and think it out.
  3. So, from a guy like me, who detests Rocco, Rocco decided to make the wrong decision? come on!
  4. He can't do one thing right, much less two. Multi-tasking is not even close to being in his wheelhouse.
  5. Well, well, there's still a little life in those bats!
  6. Anyone feel like it's time to follow the vikes and shelf the Twins?
  7. Bottom line, there's nothing Rocco can do to save his job if I were in charge. (Thankk God, I'm not, right?)
  8. Rocco probably thinks Watkins did his best. You can't ask someone to know better, when you're not any better.
  9. I'm not ready to induct Francona into sainthood, yet. Good job this year so far. Of course the team wasn't all that great the first 4 months of the season. Their are others who are capable of replicating Francona's 2022 season, so far.
  10. It's Monday afternoon and Rocco is still the Twins' manager. I really think he's been given ample time to show what he can do based on what the Twins have given him. There are just too many other things that Rocco lacks the ability in. His decision making processes concerning the line-up and bullpen are suspect. His 'read' on pitchers is lacking. It's easy to make him the scapegoat, but he's had a lot of instances where he just came up short or made moves that are baffling. I believe the FO and ownership should shoulder much of the blame, but you can't fire everyone. Does anyone see a Rocco 'move' or 'change', that would get this team over the hump.? Is he working with an inferior minor league system and/or coaching staff? The team has shown it can hang. For 2 months, they were the best in the Central. Yes, Cleveland and Chicago weren't playing that well, but we couldn't push the pedal to the metal, to create some distance. Yes, injuries played a major part, but they have to be worked around or 'managed' better. The IL was just too convenient a tool. Instead of some guys working through some minor injuries, they were put on the IL. No matter how their conditions improved, or how quickly, they were out of action bases on the IL duration they were assigned. I've been rambling, and for that I apologize. Like a lot of commenters, I've been a Twins fan for 6 decades or more. I celebrated 2 championships. and, I would like to celebrate another one, with you ladies and gentlemen.
  11. One idea: It's not so much about the pitcher as it is about the way that pitcher is used. One clear exception, though, is Pagan. I don't see anywhere on the staff where he would be effective. He's lucky to be a MLB pitcher, in my opinion.
  12. It's not all woe is me. Some are realists, some are pessimists, and some take every and anything as it comes.
  13. Let's start early house cleaning. Let's prep for next season. There are several people in this organization who should be honored with new positions, elsewhere.
  14. My therapist asks me what my main concern in life is. I told him how upset I get rooting for the Twins. He kicked me out of his office, and said he doesn't work on 'lost causes'. He told me to root for the A's or Marlins.
  15. Pagan can't even hit a batter properly. If you're going to plunk a guy, hit him in the ribs, not the big toe.
  16. Aggies7, "That's plain grarbage".
  17. Boone cancelled pregame team meetings for the Twins series. Even though the Yankees have been struggling and there were things boone wanted to go over, once he saw the 4 game series with the Twins, he saw no reason to have meetings. Nothing gets you out of a slump faster, than playing the mighty Twins.
  18. You know, maybe flipping Judge, might just stir things up. we need an increase in blood flow. We seem too meek, and we may need a little swagger ( even if false) just to put some pressure on.
  19. Does Megill know what a 'corner' is?
