  1. There is a negative-one-billion percent chance the Brewers will trade Chorio.
  2. As I mentioned on the TD live stream a few days ago, the Twins are really interesting sellers. Their controllable pieces are top-shelf, and even their rentals can fit on pretty much any team. What team doesn't need a switch-hitting tenth man in Castro? What team doesn't need a legitimate center fielder, who can play elite corner outfield, all while hitting, in Bader? What team doesn't need a legit shut down lefty out of the pen in Coulombe? What team doesn't... um... need a guy nicknamed "The Sheriff"? Sure, we'll go with that.
  3. I agree that this deal is trying to feel fair while not giving up Roman Anthony or Marcelo Mayer. Which isn't going to work. I understand putting Anthony off-limits, but Mayer needs to be in this deal to get it off the ground.
  4. Can the Twins win the series? Does it matter?
  5. From our sister site, Talk Sox. Thoughts? Crafting a 3-Team Blockbuster With the Twins to Get Red Sox Some Pitching Help - Red Sox - Talk Sox TALKSOX.COM Can the Red Sox pull a third team in to facilitate a blockbuster deal with the Twins at the trade deadline?
  6. A little different format for the question of the week. Within reason, who is your #1 trade target in the next six days? The guy who, if acquired, would make you give the Twins a B or higher grade at the trade deadline if that's all they did at the deadline. This could be a prospect, a young major leaguer, just the guy you want the most, and is reasonably considered to be available on the market. I've kind of sold myself on Moises Ballesteros.
  7. The retooled playoff format means that basically nothing will ever happen until July 25th. Which is why I said a few weeks ago that essentially boiled down to "what I think right now doesn't matter, as no decision should or will be made until the end of July". Can't be late to the party if the party doesn't start until July 30th.
  8. Yes

  10. Hey, the Twins won! Can they do that again? Oh, wait. Chris Paddack is pitching. Never mind.
  11. I'd prefer not to trade Ryan, but if the Cubs call and say "Owen Caissie and Moises Ballesteros for Joe Ryan, yes or no", I'm going to listen.
  12. Without it, we'd never know this.
  13. I want to deal one because the Twins have shown themselves capable of developing pitchers, particularly relievers. They can absorb the loss of one, and still compete. They cannot absorb the loss of two.
  14. Most Twins rentals have real value to a contender. Coulombe will have multiple suitors, as will Castro. Bader, being a great defensive player, is someone almost any team can use. If the front office doesn't trade the good rentals, they need to go. Full stop. No, you're not going to light the world on fire with any of those player returns, but given how multiple teams will want all of them, the return ain't nothing.
  15. BTV has its place, but it's kind of like WAR, except moreso: once you get into decimal places, you're missing the point of the activity. As a very rudimentary tool, it's really useful. Taken as gospel, it's being misused.
  16. Today is the last day to vote, so vote now!
  17. I mean, as much as I'd prefer to keep Jax, if a team is willing to offer a lot more for him, trade him and keep Duran.* *with that said, BBTV's valuations are ********
  18. I don't have faith in any reliever, when you get right down to it. Especially those that have already lost velocity. But every team needs some relievers, can't trade them all. So for bang-for-the-buck, I'd trade Duran.
