    Toronto Rumored to be Shopping Danny Jansen

    I has been rumored that TOR will trade one of their catchers for some time now. According to a few Blue Jays podcasts this evening stated that TOR will more likely trade Danny Jansen. They have also said they have had quite a few offers for Jansen. Jansen is pretty good both offensively, defensively & is good with the pitchers.

    One gave 2 trades rumors and one of those were the Twins. This trade rumor was ridiculous it had the Twins giving up Kepler, Balazovik & Sands for Jansen. Although this trade is ridiculous it gave me hope that the Twins were interested, hopefully they can come up with a better offer. The Jay are interested in top end pitching (we really don't have), a CF, perferrably a LH hitter or LH hitter in general. We have quite a few LH hitters. I've had my eye on Jansen before the Jays officially announced their openess to trade. What do guys think?

    Endy Rodriguez was a Mets throw in from the Musgrove/ SD trade. What SD gave PIT was the main value, Rodriguez wasn't worth anything at the time. Rodriguez only really took off this last season when their #1 prospect Davis (C) got hurt.

    Musgrove was offered to us but FO dropped the ball. SD stole Musgrove from the Pirates with I think 4 mediocre prospects. IDK if you are familiar with BTV but at the time Musgrove was worth 36 something and E Rodriguese was worth 2.4. a year ago worth 7 now his worth 29.6

    Anyway, yes we don't have a pitcher that we can trade 1 for 1. It'd take an Ober plus 1 or 2 lesser prospects.

    From the Mets point of view it was essentially a one for one deal for Joey Lucchesi. Lucchesi had a pretty good first two years in ‘18 and ‘19 before really struggling in 2020. The Pirates took a flier on a young catcher with just 22 games of GCL experience and a season lost to COVID. Kudos to their scout who identified him. The Mets took a flier on a pitcher who was close to league average their first two years. Kudos to the Padres who found someone to take their pitcher soon to need Tommy John surgery.

    All of that doesn’t matter now. Rodriguez likely will cost a little more than Jansen in trade. Which direction would be best for the Twins? Two years of Jansen or pay in trade a little more for full control of Rodriguez?
