Just ran across this @ the Guardian. Predictably, for a British paper, long on Hollywood and short on baseball. Also screams "legacy project", but still...

Has anyone seen "The Battered Bastards of Baseball? Is it any good?

Also, I have little knowledge of the Portland Mavericks- was age 4-8 during their run. If anyone can fill me in on their story beyond what Wikipedia has to offer, I'd love to hear it!
