You say you understand prospects develop differently, then say other players have been promoted so Jenkins should also be promoted? Seems like you don't believe what you're saying you believe.

If Jenkins plays well enough to deserve the promotion, he should be promoted. Sure. He hasn't done that so far, but if he's actually good and looks ready when he comes back from the IL for enough games, I agree he should get his chance.

Never said that Jenkins should also be promoted, was just making an observation about other HS players taken in the same draft.

The truth is they are not drafting well nor are they developing prospects well.  The talent just isn't there.  With so many teams in baseball now talent is diluted too.

I think the problem is that there's depth, but not much top-end talent, especially in the outfield. We have maybe six guys that might be able to play in the majors, but we haven't sorted out who are the best ones (though Jenkins obviously has a head start). Probably low-ceiling guys but the team could easily end up dropping people who end up better than someone they keep.
