RpR Verified Member Posted May 20 Posted May 20 Wrong team, but I read recently that whom ever owns Schlitz Beer has ceased brewing it. I remember many years ago, that an article said they had changed the recipe back to the original and back then I drank a lot of beer and could taste the improvement. I will have to run to the local liquor store and by a pack for old times sake. Twins_Fan_in_NJ and Peter 1 1
hitterscount Verified Member Posted May 20 Posted May 20 I would run Gomez out for the 8th. That was a nice looking inning, can’t blow the win for Ryan. Twins_Fan_in_NJ and Church of Kreidler 2

I remember back in the 70’s whenever we would make the trip up north to see the Twins play, we would always bring back Schmidt beer….with the big mouth bottles and fishing and hunting scenes on the label! Cheap beer and for college kids, cheap was great!

Danchat Verified Member Posted May 20 Posted May 20 21 minutes ago, RpR said: It is more common in baseball than fans want to know; look at how Gordon came up, hit .272 and faded into obscurity. Gordon wasn't that good of a hitter in the minor leagues in the lead-up to him being called up, so him having one solid year and then falling into obscurity wasn't surprising at all. The others mentioned had good to great minor league careers. Twins_Fan_in_NJ 1
