Go take a look at his game log on BR, just about any MLB player will take his August stats...

https://www.baseball-reference.com/players/gl.fcgi?id=keasclu01&t=b&year=2025

His batting average in the last 7 games is .259 with slugging of .259, not the .338 and .507 of his Major League total.

They have adapted to him, now he has to adjust.

Decent innings by Ohl. Better than when he's an opener. Which I guess he won't be Thursday.

Could we maybe see Abel up here for that start, depending on when he last pitched?  Probably wishful thinking, though.

I could not figure out how the Rays could sell the team without a stadium for 1.7 billion and the Twins had no takers. I am wondering if the Pohlads could be considered a modern-day Charles Comiskey.

I've argued this before, and I'll reiterate my point.  From an ownership standpoint, Tampa Bay may actually look like the better investment.  Sure, currently they have to play at a low-A stadium with the dreams of getting back into Tropicana Field for the next 2-3 years.  A new owner will have new ownership vibes that may restart discussions about the Gas Plant project in St. Petersburg or the Ybor City waterfront project in Tampa.  Both projects give massive amounts of land adjacent to the stadium that the new owner can develop into a battery-type scenario the Braves have with their new ballpark.  All of that means that the land development around the stadium is worth more than the stadium and the team itself and maybe will lead to a larger payroll and make Tampa even more competitive.

The Twins have none of that, even with a beautiful Target Field and a great, but apathetic fan base that can't wait to turn the page.  This is a 15–20-year play, not a 0–5-year investment.

I thought it was sometime over this past weekend, but I wasn't sure.

I'm ready to see Eeles give Royce a breather.

If Royce doesn't at least start to turn it around by this time next year, I think he'll have to be labeled as a bust and we'll need to move on.  Because this is getting ridiculous.

Good point..There is a population base in northern Florida. They have a huge tourist area and support 2 NFL teams. The old stadium was located in an unusual spot. It would be better placed in St. Petersburg. One other point,,,.Remember that the Nationals and Angels were up for sale and withdrew the sale also.
