Did I say the Twins were better?  No. I said I would not hold up the Padres as an example of how to run a franchise and their record is very clear.    I am evaluating the Padres success relative to the rest of the league and they are among the worst franchises in the league over the last 20 years.   They had a decent run lately but their future beyond this year looks very suspect.

Well, you certainly implied it, considering the comment you replied to was "They are both a much better team than the Twins and they have a significantly better fan support. Not to mention a significantly higher payroll still. The fact that they're now going through a messy ownership fight because their beloved owner died isn't a strike against the strategy. "

So...kind of, yeah.
