Minnesota Twins' Jared Burton Struggling to Get Outs

I looked at the recent struggles of Burton and the possibility of him not being healthy.

 

While he's not as dominant in his last five games, he's also not had much luck when the ball is put in play. When batters put the ball in play, they normally bat around .300. In his last five games, hitters are batting .421 on balls put in play.

When a pitcher tries to play through injury, he tends to change his mechanics to compensate for it.

 

Such a change ruined Dizzy Dean's career

 

I am a big Burton fan. I was also very upset when I saw Gardy bringing him into that game last night.

What ever is wrong with the guy, help him get it fixed.

In an ideal world that would not happen in the 8th inning of 1 run ballgames.

 

Use Thielbar or send him away, but find someone and use them.

In the meantime, get Burton healthy.

I'd like to see him go on the DL and give Tonkin a look until Burton is 100%. He has a long injury history. If he continues to pitch through this, he not only could continue to harm the team's chances to win, he could ruin his career.
