Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted May 31, 2013 Author Posted May 31, 2013 Brock, what happened to the "Series Preview" posts where we can get a glance that the scheduled matchups? I did one for the Brewers series but I had to leave town unexpectedly and don't have a stable Internet connection out here in the sticks. I'll have one back up for the next series.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 I'll be at tonight's game in person. I'm not too optimistic with Seattle's #2 against the Twins' #5(+), but the club is playing well and maybe someone will do something noteworthy. Heck, seeing that the Twins have a better record than the Mariners, I now predict a victory tonight--yeah, that's the ticket!

Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 Series preview: Whichever team hits will win. What if they both hit?
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 If both teams hit, we win. Wrong... We check the channel and change it to the correct game.
ashbury Verified Member Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 Where'd ya get the picture of Ashbury? I'm at the other end.
ashbury Verified Member Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 If both teams hit, we win. Nah, it'll be whichever team wanted it more. Or got after it, or whatever. BTW, I am risking the power of avatar girl on the pitching prowess of Pelfrey. Let's hope this doesn't burn her out - nice winning streak once I put her back in the lineup.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 LOL... That would make you the ass of the ass. That is way too much synergy potential. It may end up influencing the tides.
Joe A. Preusser Verified Member Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 Ass of the ass. I hereby patent that term for future use.

Bark's Lounge Verified Member Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 The key to a Twin's win tonight is to keep Ichiro off base and keep Brett Boone from going yard.
Joe A. Preusser Verified Member Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 The key to a Twin's win tonight is to keep Ichiro off base and keep Brett Boone from going yard. That's all moot if we can't hit Randy Johnson's slider.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 The key to a Twin's win tonight is to keep Ichiro off base and keep Brett Boone from going yard. Yeah... I worry about that Langston guy on the mound.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 On a serious note... I watched that Iwakuma pitch a couple times last year and I was very impressed and it seemed like no one knew who he was. I kinda felt like he was my personal bit of knowledge. OK... Whew.. That was exhausting being serious for 40 words or so. It takes a lot out of you.
NorthwestTwinsFan Provisional Member Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 Series preview: Whichever team hits will win. Twins are 14-0 when outhitting their opponent. So you may be on to something here...
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 Report from around the league... Domonic Brown is hot and... And... And... Is first name is spelt funny.
ashbury Verified Member Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 She can handle it. We're still talking about a good game against the Mariners tonight, right?
Physics Guy Verified Member Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 I'm at the other end. Nothing like good self-deprecating humor.
ashbury Verified Member Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 Twins are 14-0 when outhitting their opponent. So you may be on to something here... What are the stats for when they are outscored, however?
ashbury Verified Member Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 Nothing like good self-deprecating humor. I think that one was self-defecating humor, but we'll go with your take on things.
Physics Guy Verified Member Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 That's all moot if we can't hit Randy Johnson's slider. I'm pretty sure we still couldn't hit his slider.
