Corey Williams

LHP Corey Williams was selected in the 3rd round of the 2011 draft out of Vanderbilt University. In 2012, Williams with the Beloit Snappers, Williams posted a 4-4 record with 17 saves in 47 appearances, all as a reliever. He was also named a Midwest League Post Season All-Star.

 

Williams was assigned to the talent laden Ft. Myers Miracle to start the 2013 campaign. Williams is off to a good start and has compiled 6 saves for the Miracle in 9 games. In those games covering 11 2/3 innings, Williams has walked 0 batters and held opponents batting average to .200.

 

With the Miracle's record, Williams should be able to get plenty of save opportunities.
