Steven Buhr Verified Member Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 Woke up to thunderstorms in Cedar Rapids this morning. Apparently they're going to stick around all day and, if anything, intensify by tonight. After seven games in the past four days, it looks like the Kernels will get another weather-day before hitting the road for Peoria. CR and Wisconsin are not scheduled to play again in the first half of the season so it's unlikely the game would be made up. That would leave both the Kernels and Timber Rattlers two games short of a full schedule in the first half of the season.

Both teams have an open date on May 24th I think, or May 17th...Wisconsin is playing in Clinton the day before, and at the Quad Cities the day after so, could be made up at the point if the Mid West League wants to get them in.
pioneers3 Provisional Member Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 Radar shows a slight chance of playing in Cedar Rapids. I wouldn't count on it though.

jokin Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2013 Posted April 18, 2013 I think you missed the joke. No, I got it. Just pre-emptorily stemming the tide for the impending Free Dean! steamroller from those who didn't get your timely joke---- As much as he's an old fashioned Twins Way rag-armer, he's definitely not a major league potential starter
