Call: If Plouffe or Parm reach base in the 8th' date=' we'll see Ramirez pinch hit. If Dozier reaches, Ramirez for Florimon.[/quote']

not against o'day. Them submarine guys are hard on righties.

Interesting. Palmer thinks Oliva belongs in the Hall of Fame.

I strongly agree with that idea -- if not for a negligently placed sprinkler head in Oakland, I believe that Tony would be in the HOF.

The D is sloppy but overall, it's better. Plouffe and Dozier look like different players and Escobar/Florimon are much rangier players. Even Parmelee looks okay out there.

They're not going to win any awards but if they stop the bone-headed plays, they might even be good.

The defense hasn't been good yet, but you make good points. Dozier certainly has looked comfortable at second. I think Parmelee has been fine in right, although he will not show good range out there.

Do I have to type send Escobar in capital letters?

They are making a lot of throws to first -- holding Escobar pretty close. Are you sure that this is a good risk?

Just watched the fireworks show after the Miracle game! Time for some twins fireworks.

DJ ... do you live in Ft Myers? I have a place there but don't live there ... yet.

Submarines are pretty easy to read and typically a little slower to the plate. That's why I wanted him to go.

It didn't work.

I would suggest a pitching change if Hardy gets on -- Roenicke looks spent.

Yes, but kudos to him for a solid three innings. Nice to get that from the 'pen.

You have to give the Twins credit...this is the kind of game that they would lay down and lose last year. I legitimately think that this team could be almost 8 wins better than last year.

Agreed. I think that he hung the curveball once, but luckily the batter missed it.
