Thank You
We were fortunate enough again to have another news outlet cover our "Virtual," Twins and yesterday it was WCCO. Thank you for the continued support.

Catch-up
The game of the season yesterday went the way of Minnesota behind a late rally against Chapman in the 9th sparked by Adrianza getting HBP, an infield single by Buxton, and then finally a game-tying 3-Run Bomba from Kepler. If game was any indication, this should be a phenomenal game two.

Storylines

  1. The last time the Twins had a player with a birthday it was Sano and he capped his big day off with a HR. Tonight Jose Berrios is celebrating his birthday in a battle against arguably the best pitcher in baseball right now in Gerrit Cole.
  2. Since 2013 the Twins have only won two series against New York and the latest being from September of 2018 and have a chance to make it three tonight.
  3. Yesterday's win snapped the active Yankees 4-game winning streak and the overall 5-game winning streak New York had over Minnesota. For the Twins to win again today they'll have to best Gerrit Cole in our third "Ace Off," of the year (1st Shane Beiber vs. Jose Berrios Indians won 15-2, 2nd Clayton Kershaw vs. Jose Berrios Twins won 4-2).

DOWN GOES NEW YORK!

Jose Berrios on his birthday goes 7.0IP, 4H, a career high 14 K's, and 1 ER and although the Yankees rally, the Twins give him the best present of all, a Minnesota Twins win.
For the first time since 2013 on the road, the Twins take the series over the Yankees and look to sweep New York on the road for the first time since 1968.
