Game Thread Rays vs. Twins 6/27/19 12:10 PM CST

[Mill1634]

Lucky 13th? We shall see

[operation mindcrime]

YEEEEEEAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH MORIN!!!!!!

[Blake]

7 innings of 2 run ball from Perez and, so far, 6 innings of no-run ball from the bullpen.

Who are these people and where is the real Twins pitching staff?

[Darius]

What a game by Perez and the pen thus far today (wood has been knocked).

Even if we lose this, very encouraging. A functional Martin Perez makes this team so much better.

[Jham]

Cave and bullpen silencing their doubters. Now Schoop, please.

Who is in charge of the awful music before the innings start? Ya that would really get me pumped for an at bat.....

[jimbo92107]

Kepler is stupid not to wear an elbow pad right now.

[70charger]

Kepler is in a very awkward stage in his beard growth.

I liked it better as "spending". Made less sense and I feel the Twins fit in with an absurdist philosophy this year.

[FLTwinsGuy]

Was that a triple?

[operation mindcrime]

POLANCO!!!!!!!!

[MVP Nick Punto]

Thank you Jorge. Those last two we sent out are what we've been looking for

[TwinsCD]

C'mon Boomstick, be the hero again.

[USAFChief]

A little Garvsauce, if you please.

[Brock Beauchamp]

Intentionally walking Cruz to get to Garver. Opposing pitchers must HATE facing this team.

[FLTwinsGuy]

Sighhhh

[Mill1634]

This game shall never end. We hit three balls very hard, and had one hit. Baseball.

[MVP Nick Punto]

3 hard contacted balls lead to naught. Ugh, I'm becoming increasingly unamused.

[Blake]

But this is what makes baseball baseball.

[Darius]

For those who think a ground ball is better than a K, that GIDP was for you.

[Cap'n Piranha]

I wish Garver had struck out there.

[MVP Nick Punto]

But this is what makes baseball baseball.

It's still baseball if we walk off in the 9th.

[Jham]

We were concerned about getting the game in, we might get 2 in, or back to worrying about getting 1 in...

[Aggies7]

Not at all, smartass.  I want him to succeed just as much as everyone else but the fact that he's like Pedro Cerrano and can't hit anything off-speed leads me to believe that he'll never really be able to hit in this league much longer.

haha i was agreeing with you

[Brock Beauchamp]

For those who think a ground ball is better than a K, that GIDP was for you.

That groundball was 18” from being a hit because it was drilled.

I’ll take that groundball every time.

[Jham]

haha i was agreeing with you

Are you saying jesus christ couldn't hit a curve ball?

[Blake]

For those who think a ground ball is better than a K, that GIDP was for you.

Yeah, and the guy who fielded the ball spiked it into the ground, which made things interesting for the guy at second.

Putting the ball in play means the guys fielding have to make a play. And, in this case, they had to work very hard to make that play.

[MVP Nick Punto]

Are you saying jesus christ couldn't hit a curve ball?

I think he could nail it. Edited June 27, 2019 by MVP Nick Punto

Statistically, we're the fourth-best ERA in the AL, just behind Cleveland.

[FLTwinsGuy]

I feel like Choi hasnt had to swing but a few times this entire game...
