Article: Former Twins First Baseman Don Mincher Dies at 73

Mincher was a part of the home run hitting teams of the mid 60's. He was also blocked a bit at 1B. First by Vic Power and then eventually by Killebrew. During Mincher's time with the Twins, Killebrew played LF, 3B and 1B. When Oliva joined the team in 63, Allison was the regular LF so Killebrew played either 1B or 3B.

Rollins was a right handed hitting 3B and Mincher hit left. I don't remember that it was a strict platoon, but Killebrew did go back and forth between 1B and 3B till Mincher was traded. Killebrew was pretty much the 1B after that.
