Was it May's ineptitude? Or was it the Astros batters coming out on-fire? Because, if you're suggesting an alternate-universe, I have a plausible scenario to offer for a Stewart start, in either case. Hint: Trevor May still features prominently in one of them, and Stewart doesn't get a W in either of them. Or, maybe you have a way to foretell that this wasn't the day to bring Trevor May into the game at all. In that case, Oliver Drake's actual 7th inning offers a guide as to how long that a 1-0 lead would have lasted after Stewart's start. We also didn't get the opportunity to find out what a bottom-of-the-9th would have been like, and what creative way would have been found to louse that one up. I'm taking nothing away from Stewart's (actual) fine outing, of course.
