yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted August 20, 2018 Posted August 20, 2018 Wasn’t sure where to stick this, so I figured this can be a catch all for playoff talk for now. So, Cleveland, even without Trevor Bauer - who may be back for the playoffs - might have the best rotation in the AL. They have 4 of the 10 highest bWAR for pitchers. They have one of the league’s top offenses. And maybe the worst bullpen. Although, Hand has helped and Miller certainly will also. Here’s my thought provoking question: If you are Francona, would you consider using Bauer out of the pen (if he makes it back) in the playoffs? There is no way he can miss that much time and jump right into the rotation IMO. BUT, an inning or two at a time might be something he can do. And it might be exactly what the Indians need in October.
