Guest Guests Posted July 16, 2017 Posted July 16, 2017 I'm a huge Vasquez fan, have been since they drafted him. He's one of those new age cases, as he pitches off his breaking balls (been told by other Twins' pitchers it's 2 different sliders although one looks like a curve) instead of his fastball and it works for him. Here area a couple of videos I took of Andrew over the past two years or so Game actionhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iCj9GcfYD84 One of his first times pitching professionally in GCLhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AAWn6vqL2Mw Side Session Work with Virgil Vasquezhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pOvB5Z3HsnkBob, The third or fourth pitch in the 2016 video looks like it was aimed at you! I'm not smart about how to assess video, but I was actually hoping Vasquez looked better. It looked like Vasquez was throwing a lot of cheese that the young hitters - and perhaps the ump - couldn't handle, but those pitches will need to be much sharper at higher levels. Well, that's what the minors are for, and since the video he's carved up the Midwest League and is doing great in Florida, so hopefully he's getting better.
Sweetwater Provisional Member Posted July 16, 2017 Posted July 16, 2017 Really hoping Gonsalves can slot in behind Berrios starting next season. He seems very intelligent from what I've read. So I think he will figure out hitters and how to succeed. We need him to pan out pretty badly.
Kyle DeBarge Wichita Wind Surge - AA 2B/CF On Sunday, DeBarge went 3-for-3 with a walk and a double. It was his second multi-hit game in his past three games. Explore Kyle DeBarge News >
