Thomas Hackimer - 2017

Drafted in the 4th round in 2016 out of St Johns University Hackimer is a side arm relief pitcher.  He blew past hitters in low A Cedar Rapids this year pitching 24 innings in 16 outings with a 1.50 ERA 28 strikeouts and an incredible 0.58 WHIP.  After being called up to Fort Myers in early June he got off to a slow start with giving up 6 hits, 5 walks and 2 earned runs in 5 innings in his first 3 appearances.  Since then he has been great in 3 outings 5.1 innings 3 hits and 1 walk 4 strikeouts and no earned runs, for a combined 10.1 innings 1.74 ERA with 7 strikeouts and a WHIP of 1.45.  Hackimer turns 23 on Wednsday.  I'm hoping he has a shot with the Twins sometime next year maybe even out of spring if he can get to and succeed at double A later this year.

Neshek II. Pat has done ok. If Hacimer can get another tick up on the fastball he could be very good.

Since the last update he's pitched 2.2 innings 1 hit 1 walk 3 strikeouts.  I'm curious why they wouldn't use him a little more.

Pitched a flawless inning both Thursday and Friday nights along with 3 more strikeouts, Fort Myers ERA now down to 1.20

According to his own tweet he walked Tim Tebow on 4 pitches, must of been July 3rd as he only has one walk in the last 3 weeks, and he feels shame about it.

2 more lawless innings along with 2 strikeouts yesterday.  Maybe he got the Tim Tebow magic by walking him on 4 pitches as he's faced 13 batters since and got all 13 out.  WHIP now down to 1.00  so much for wondering about him being used infrequently double A can't be to far off if this keeps up.

Another perfect inning tonight.  16 in a row since walking Tebow.  Since adopting him he has pitched 7.2 innings 1 hit 1 walk no runs.  I'm a proud prospect daddy.

The perfect run is over after giving up a hit and then another walk to Tim Tebow in two thirds of an inning.  Got the ERA under 1.00 though and it's always good to see him used back to back days.

Since the last update 3.2 innings 1 hit 3 walks 1 run and 7 strikeouts.  I'm hoping with 2 pitching spots ahead of him opening up he ends up in Chattanooga, not much more to prove in Fort Meyers

Sorry it's been a while.  Since the last update 7 innings pitched 4 hits a walk and 9 strikeouts, and of course zero earned runs.  I don't know what more he needs to do to get to double A.

Holy dud 2 hits 4 walks and 5 earned runs without recording an out, and it only raised his ERA to 2.45
