Three Cedar Rapids Kernels have been named Midwest League All Stars today.

Luis Arraez and LaMonte Wade were selected as starters while Sam Clay makes it as a reserve.

Also, the Kernels coaching staff of Jake Mauer, Brian Dinkelman and JP Martinez will coach the Western team.

Stopped by to make sure Wade was on the list. Good for him, and I hope he's on to bigger and better places soon.

The 22-year-old went 2-for-5 on Friday night, his fourth straight multi-hit game. Heading into the week, he was hitting .246/.328/.404 (.732). Four games later, he is hitting .303/.361/.447 (.808).
