About at the halfway mark, or a little past, and I bring to you another meaningless ST game. I'd say the lineup looks like the A team, other than no Buxton, who was scratched due to illness. I said ILLNESS not injury. Don't get all panicky here. Anyway, here we go ...

The radio guys said May has been officially moved to the BP? TR will explain it in the next half inning. I can understand the outcome, and I am glad he got a fair and full opportunity to capture a rotation spot. Sadly he just couldn't keep up with the competition!

I kinda figured he pulled the get caught off the base so the run can scamper in from 3rd...

 

But hard to distinguish between the two in gamday.

The throw to home was cut off and Plouffe got caught betwee 1st and 2nd, if the throw goes through to the plate Plouffe is on second.

Speed was not the issue, nor did it appear strategy! It looked more like a guy who seriously misread the play. The run was not a contest, he gifted an out!

I suppose they will wait 5 or days to put him on the DL (if this were the season), when they could have put him there right away and not played short handed.  I could have told them losing a liver should be more than day to day.
