kellyvance Verified Member Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 For those of you with baseball withdrawal, like me. In all of the years coaching little league my teams are always the Twins. So I put that in my book, "The Best Laid Plans" which came out on Amazon just before Christmas. I got my first review. I am pretty excited. Forgive the shameless plug. I am going to try to get this in stores back there, since I am a homeboy from West Fargo. Would welcome any advice on marketing this book. kellyvance Verified Member Posted December 30, 2015 Author Posted December 30, 2015 Mods suggested that I write something about the book. Two young boys, Danny Ryan and Tommy Mathison, are kidnapped and held for a $1.2 million ransom. Before the police can act, Danny's baseball coach stumbles onto a clue and starts his own investigation. But the police consider that just a bit too lucky and suspect HIM of the crime. When the ransom money is snatched by the kidnapper, foiling a police dragnet, things get desperate. Meanwhile, Danny's baseball team deals with the loss of a friend and teammate during a pennant race. As days go by, the fear that the boys will never be seen again seems more and more real. This is a work of fiction, but the final championship game is lifted from a real life story. Along the way, the narrator reveals a few inside tips on coaching and developing young ballplayers. If you are needing a baseball fix, or are a youth baseball coach, you will enjoy the game action. If you are a police story buff, or just like a mystery, this one hits close to home.
