More triples than stolen bases

I now realize that the answer to the OP's question was staring me in the face last night and I was too dim to notice.

It's been done three times before by a Twin.  Zoilo in 1963, Rollins in 1964, and John Castino had a league leading 9 3B and only 4 SB in the strike year of 1981.

It happened at least once between the two leagues every year in the 60s.  There were 4 occurrences in the 70s, with George Brett's 20/17 in 1979 standing as the greatest such season in the expansion era.  It happened three times in the 80s, then only once in the 90s (David Dellucci 12/3 1998) and twice in the 00s (Jack Wilson 12/8 2004, Curtis Granderson 13/12 2008).

The last player to do it was Dexter Fowler...but it wasn't his 15/12 in 2011 that I mentioned in my previous post (he finished 3rd in 3B).  Fowler led the NL with 14 triples on 2010 and had 13 SB.

Didn't see anyone else post this:  How about more Triples than Walks?

Eddie Rosario had more Doubles, Triples and is 2 short in Home Runs, than he has walks.  That's pretty amazing. Or just weird.

Garry Templeton is the only other live-ball era player with more triples than walks as a full-time player.  He did it twice - 18 3B / 15 BB in 1977 and 19/18 in 1979.

It's been a remarkable year for Rosario...one of a handful of recent players with more 3B than SB, the second player in 100 years with more 3B than BB, and oh yeah...he leads the league in 3B and OF assists, too, despite not playing enough to qualify for any of the rate stat races.  And he's a rookie.

The strange thing is his skill set isn't especially unusual.  He'll probably never do any of those things again, even if he becomes a much better player.
