Ultima Ratio Verified Member Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 Chris Archer is a tremendous pitcher, but he's gotten help here and there from the umpire. Where is pitchtrax tonight? Called third on Mauer looked outside.Gameday classic shows it was right on the black, for whatever it's worth.
jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 Heh-heh, did you see that curve on Rivera? Duffey threw it at his elbow. Rivera moved his elbow away from the trajectory of the ball, just as it hooked left for a strike. Beautious.
ScrapTheNickname Provisional Member Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 For what it's worth: "In 2010, my rookie year (in pro ball) I played rightfield and then in 2011 they moved me back to centerfield (at Class A Bowling Green) so I was really pumped. And I said I'm going to do whatever I can to stick in centerfield because that's where I want to play. So I really started making some nice diving catches and I had like 21 outfield assists that year. Someone came up to me and said, 'Hey man, you play the outfield like an … outlaw.' I said, 'Wow, that has a nice little ring to it.' So I was like, 'Hey, you can call me that if you want.' So from there, it kind of is self-proclaimed."
LaBombo Verified Member Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 Don't have a picture of my dog handy, but the lower half of this picture pretty much captures the essence of every nap I have ever attempted with my pug in the house:
ScrapTheNickname Provisional Member Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 Robinson played that like he was on a deserted island with his Swiss family.
Ultima Ratio Verified Member Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 Another bad throw when he had plenty of time to make a good throw, under control.
jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 Duffey is losing his posture, stooping a little. It's making his fastball flatten out. Meanwhile, Rosario catches that ball if he's playing LF. Eddie's faster than Robinson.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 Gameday classic shows it was right on the black, for whatever it's worth. In 20/20 fan hindsight it was too close to take in any case, but maybe I'm not giving the home plate guy enough credit tonight.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 I know it doesn't make sense, but I'm almost positive John Jaso did the transmission fluid flush on my car this morning at Midas.
ScrapTheNickname Provisional Member Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 Plouffe must improof.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 Escobar ties it. Oh good.
ScrapTheNickname Provisional Member Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 Ok, that was weird URUR?
LaBombo Verified Member Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 Plouffe must improof. My daughter is still at that 'learning to read by sounding out' age. She liked her mispronunciation of Plouffe's name so much that she made up a rhyme for it: "HIs name is Pluffy, and everyone boos him 'cause he can't hit enoughy".
VandyTwinsFan Verified Member Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 Berrios has 12 K's through 7 now. Still sitting on 3 H, 1 BB, 0 R. If gameday can be trusted for AAA, it seems like he's using the top of the zone a lot.
Intramural Legend Verified Member Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 Surprised Duffey is back out there. Really paying for Santana's crappy start yesterday
ScrapTheNickname Provisional Member Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 Attendance for yesterday's game: 9,632.

Intramural Legend Verified Member Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 Umm - Neil Allen pep talk on line one?
sane Provisional Member Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 Meanwhile, Rosario catches that ball if he's playing LF. Eddie's faster than Robinson. And meanwhile, Rosario's throw from RF to 3B (when executed by Robinson) rolls dead at 2B.
ScrapTheNickname Provisional Member Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 why is he still in there?
JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 Berrios has 12 K's through 7 now. Still sitting on 3 H, 1 BB, 0 R. If gameday can be trusted for AAA, it seems like he's using the top of the zone a lot. Can he time travel to Tampa immediately?
